Stable, sturdy for walking or sitting
I'm glad I paid more for this than some of the very lightweight, very inexpensive seating canes. At 2 lbs, this is quite manageable. A really comfortable seat (must be sure to sit facing the handle, as instructed.) Easy for me to get on and off the seat and it feels very sturdy. Came with extra "feet", so if these wear out I have a replacement. Also a little flashlight, though I will never use that, and a seat cover. I am 5'4", and weigh about 145 lbs. The height is perfect for me, both walking and sitting. Not as easy as a cane for walking, of course, but it works nicely as a cane, and for standing in long lines during a planned trip to Italy, this will enable me to sit whenever necessary. Highly recommended. The instructions are very oddly written, but the accompanying diagrams are clear so that is not a problem.

PLEASED WITH LIGHTER IN WEIGHT THAN EXPECTED
I love that this is lighter than my tote bag. A few years ago I purchased one that was much heavier. Unfortunately, I left in on an airplane and though it was new I was unable to use it for future trips. I bought this for a European trip as I am not able to stand too long. Walking is less of a problem for me even though I have a torn meniscus arthritis and ankle issues. I am surprised that this is called heavy duty and holds someone twice my size. There is one bold in the middle of the three legs, I will buy a couple of spare screws and bolts at the hardware store to take along with me on the trip. The current screw is a Philips head so I'll make sure to pack a Swiss Army Knife or Leatherman tool knife in my check luggage. I will be using this for three weeks Europe about three hours a day.The pros: Super light Lighter than my tote bag full. May purchase a Velcro guitar like strap and carry when I do not use it so I can keep my hands free for taking photos.I purchased this particular cane seat because the seat size is generous at over 10 inches at the widest part. The seat is comfortable enough. It comes with a stick-on thin seating pad which I will not adhere but will pack with me in case I need it. In the event of rain the holes in the seat is handy for drainage. The seat securely stays up. Reviews for others who purchased different models complained about the seat flipping down while walking.A LED small flashlight and holder was included. This will come in handy as many roads are not well lit.It folds flat so I could pack it in my American size suitcase if needed but the bag may be too large for European commuter planes. Will just carry on.Compared to my previous heavier version. This chair is easier getting on and off as I can easily pull it out from under myself. The heavier smaller seat was too difficult for me to manage.Cons:My bolt was a bit loose upon arrival. Only one bold holding together three legs. As I stated above, I will buy some spare screws and bolts to bring along with me on this European trip which is nearly a month long.Hard to believe that it will hold a person twice my weight ....but ....could be possible. Will update after using it for a month visiting six countries. I foresee difficulty using it on cobblestone but will bring it along anyway as I can not stand for long periods of time on a 2 hour or 8 hour day tour.Bottom line. Light enough to manage. So far satisfied.Am encouraging my sister to buy one to take along with her as well as she has arthritis and ankle issues as well.

Not Safe
Used for less than 10 minutes and one leg bent and sent me tumbling to the floor. I am well within the weight limit of this item and was not doing anything extraneous. Didn't even get to try it as a cane. I am thankful I was at home when this happened. Risk of injury, so not worth it.

Item did not work for me--but company service was "over the top"
This company was very kind and professionally considerate. I purchased a folding cane with seat for a specific trip, took it on the trip during which I found it would not work for me, and notified the company the day I returned from my trip--which was, unfortunately one day after my last day to return the item. I did not have a computer with me on my trip, and indicated this to the company. In spite of my late request to return the item, they allowed me to return it with a full refund. I had really high hopes for this cane/chair device. I think it might have worked if I weighed a LOT more than I do ( I am 5'4" and weigh 140 lb.), and I was a lot stronger than I am. I have had a bad back most of my life--making it hard to walk long distances, and impossible to stand still in line for any length of time. I had considered purchasing something like this for a very long time, and finally did for this past trip. This product is good. My experience (and inability to use this item) were a great disappointment to me. Thanks again for being a good seller with a considerate nature.

It is a very hard seat
This cane opens up and is a very hard plastic seat. It is ok for a few minutes, but if you sit on it for a long time, it is uncomfortable. Some padding on the chair would help. I would cover it with plastic so it can be easily wiped off. It does the job for a short time. It is surprisingly sturdy. If you will be sitting for a long time, the chair is very hard and has no back support, so it is uncomfortable. The rubber caps on the three legs also wear out fairly quickly. If you were handy, you could sew a cushion that would provide a padded seat! This is useful if you have to stand in line for a while and have arthritis in your knees and hips. I find it helpful in the grocery store and other places where the checkout line can be long! It is lightweight!

Very light weight
My 86 year old mother LOVES this. Very light weight and easy for her to manage. This has given her the freedom to go on small shopping trips as she now knows she can rest whenever and wherever she needs,
