The story of Hudson Hawk, cowritten by Willis, concerns a cat burglar pressured into stealing precious art, including some from the Vatican. But the script is just a convenience upon which Willis piles his vaguely boorish brand of hip irony, assuming his audience will stay with him every step of the way. Certain, self-congratulatory scenes induce cringing--Willis and Danny Aiello, for instance, sing "Side by Side" (to brassy accompaniment on the soundtrack) every time they're working a job--but the overall effect is more irritating and baffling. Keep a good thought for Willis (an underrated actor better than the summer junk we usually see him in) by checking out his superior work in Pulp Fiction and his small but memorable role in Billy Bathgate. --Tom Keogh

Very Funny Movie
Hudson Hawk is an American comedy film released in 1991. The film was directed by Michael Legmann and stars a list of popular actors and actresses including, Bruce Willis, Andie MacDowell, Richard E. Grant and the awesome James Coburn. Willis' character is a former bank robber who gets forced into a job. He's tasked with finding several pieces of a Leonardo Da Vinci machine that turns blocks of lead into gold. The story has many twists and turns with lots of big comedy moments.If you're going in expecting a good heist movie or something fairly tasteful, just stop right there and go away. This is a VERY slapstick orientated film. There's lot of physical humour and some jokes that comes out of the left field. Some of these more out of the blue jokes might offend some of the modern softer generation but me, I found them absolutely hilarious. It's clear the likes of MacDowell and Willis are having a blast with the role. In fact, it's probably one of the last Bruce Willis films where he actually showed some form of emotion.The actually bluray was released through Signal One Entertainment. It's a pretty good looking transfer. There's a lot of colour and plenty of clarity. It's not like you need to see a lot of detail in movies like this but it's there and looks really nice. You'll also see a lot of film grain, a feature someone will want to know about. The extras include an audio commentary from the films director, a music video by Dr. John, a couple of featurette's, a still gallery and the original theatrical trailer.Hudson Hawk is a film that will never set the world on fire. It appears to be a film that you either love or hate. To me personally, I think it's a great funny film. It has plenty of memorable one liners, funny jokes and scenes that will stick with you for the rest of your life. If you like your films completely outlandish and over the top, this might be one for you.

Gloriously terrible
Watched the movie when it came out, had great memories of having a laugh watching it.It's every bit as silly as we remembered, Richard E Grant camps it up amazingly.Absolutely a "So Bad it's good" movie.Keep your tongue in your cheek whilst watching and you'll have a great laugh.

Off The Wall and Utterly Brilliant
I have never understood why this movie did so badly or why so many hate it, although I understand it was marketed as another Die Hard type of adventure when it was originally released. It's zany and off the wall and gloriously over the top and I love it. Everyone looks like they're having a blast, which I guess shows the calibre of the acting if nothing else because it was apparently a very difficult shoot. If you're looking for realism, you won't find it here, but if you're in the mood for daft fun or just something to cheer you up, this is the movie for you. There are one or two one-liners that are a bit dodgy sounding to modern audiences, but if you can overlook those, you're in for a hoot. Plus the soundtrack is great.

Got panned by critics but a decent no brain needed movie
Never understood why this film did so bad as it did it’s not supposed to be a documentary it’s a wacky easy watch movie not to be taken seriously. Richard e Grant and and Sandra Bernard are great as the ridiculous mayflower’s

si te gusta la pelicula esta muy bien
esta bien, es el disco con la pelicula, sin contenido especial, panfletos ni nada, solo la caja de carton que "simula" ser un vhs y que francamente es poco memorable, la pelicula es lo que queria y es lo que obtuve.no tiene doblajes adicionales ni subtitulos en otras lenguas, solo ingles, tomalo en cuenta .contento porque tenia tiempo queriendo verla. si la vez con el humor correcto es muy divertida

Esta edición al parecer corrige un error de doblaje de un bluray anterior, faltaba la pista de ingles, por lo que es una buena opción para tener esta película difícil de encontrar...
