706592 GM Door Lock Service Pack - Strattec Lock Part

This service pack will allow you to replace a broken lock set. Somebody punched out the driver side lock on my Yukon the other day. I bought this pack and did a bit of googling/youtubing to figure out what and how to fix the situation. This item will allow you to repair a broken/punched lock as long as the tumblers are not damaged. You will need to pull the pins and springs (no replacements in this package) from the old lock and put them in this new housing. I have rekeyed many locks while working at The Home Depot and if you have some mechanical/DIY ability I would say this is an easy fix - no need to visit a locksmith. However, if you don't have the exisiting cylinder then to the locksmith you will go. I would buy this product again if i needed to - I also bought a plate to protect against further theft attemps - a quick google search and you will find the anti-jamming plate set up. Damn theives. Now I need to replace the plastic retainers for the mechanisim rods as they broke those as well. Good luck.

My truck was broken into a couple of months ago and they messed up the driver's side door lock. Needless to say I went to get some quotes and they were unreasonably expensive. So I decided to just fix it myself and started looking for parts until I came across this one. I bought this item and then had it coded at a local locksmith which was another fee but considering the prices I was given by mechanics... it was not so bad. I would recommend this part but just be aware that you have to get it coded first.

Re-keyed it myself, works perfectly. Best priced solution if your pin plates aren't damaged or you're going to have a locksmith key it.

This did not fit my 1999 Chevy Silverado but I was able to use parts to repair mine the cylinder did not fit the other parts were comparable

It was a perfect fit however, I returned it because I needed the door handle not the lock.

A lot cheaper alternative same quality

Fixed the punched lock on my 05 Tahoe along with a new handle, only had to spend $30 to fix truck, just glad nothing was taken.

After my truck was broken into, I was able to use the original wafers to rekey this new lock myself.
