Was looking for something like this for work around the house and cooking. The plastic housing is solid and thick, metal parts are thick as well and very well made. Very easy to use. Finally had a chance to cook with it and it worked great. If I ever need it for soldering, I know it will work as it literally melted the aluminum foil that I was using for the base when cooking. Very fast, hot, and easy to use. Highly recommend this for the price.

I've had several can top torches like this, most have broken with in a few months of use from being knocked over as they're top heavy.This brand i did have an issue with at first, it smelled of burning plastic every time i used the torch topper. I contacted the seller and they immediately helped me trouble shoot the issue and when they felt it wasn't able to be fixed safely, they overnighted me a free replacement. The replacement works wonderfully and theres no burning plastic smell any more. its actually held up to abuse better then any other topper ive used up until this point as well, very happy with it and recommend it to all my friends who need one

Generally, this works as advertised. However, the valve to adjust flame size doesn't work well. It's either on or off. When you pull the trigger, the flame ignites, but the flame is not consistent. I bought this to crystallize sugar for creme brulee. The flame pulses when you crystallize the sugar, so you have to pay close attention and move your hand closer to the surface or further away, depending on what the pulsing flame is doing. I'll keep this thing by the fireplace and use it get fires started. It will be great for that. But I wouldn't recommend it for creme brulee. I went into the garage and grab my propane torch used for soldering copper. It's a consistent flame and easily controlled for creme brulee.

I order it to make creme brulee. Last night I did my first creme brulee. It worked!! The only thing to be mentioned it is only torch lighter, it doesn’t come with Butane. But Well, i just read, it’s said in the description of the product.

Has a flame adjustment and button to control ignition. There is also a button to keep it on continuously.Torch is affordable. Use it in my kitchen.it is easy to use and works. Price is reasonable, and it's easy to use for making creme brulees, which was my sole purpose for buying.I would recommend this torch to anyone looking to buy one.

I bought this product because my family loves creme brulee. The torch was easy to use and work great! That made our creme brulee perfect. We even used the torch to make smores.This is THE handy tool to have in the kitchen. I can use it to lite my BBQ even in the wind. Far better than the other butane lighters which don't stay lit nor lasting.

didn't get this for cooking, I got it to heat up stuck bolts. it does that wonderfully, and at a lower price than the torches meant for that purpose.DIY win.

This is a great addition to any kitchen. Attaching the fuel can is easy and the torch feels good in your hand. The flame is easily adjustable from low to high. Once you set it where you like it you won’t need to readjust unless you want more or less flame. I see myself using this in my workshop as well. Great value for the price.
