Biker Mice From Mars - Season One [DVD] [1993]

I loved this show when it was on and love it still - as do many, Many others of all ages and nationalities :DIn my opinion the character design And the animation was Much better on the 90's series than it is on the new one that is on TV now. So you have more reason to buy this as it is the Original series! Hopefully it will be incentive to get the company to release All the old episodes on DVD and not just this one!For anyone who wants to buy this: it's certainly worth having, though because of the U rating on the actual discs two scenes have been taken out of "Road Ravens" (the fight when Throttle is applying for the job) and "The Pits" (the one where we see Modo and Throttle while working for the Pit Boss). I had some minor trouble getting my player to play the last three eps on the second disc, but that is probably just my laptop (it's old). Quality is great, though it doesn't play well on the vlc player (and oh did I miss Throttle's voice! ^^ ).If you've only seen the new series - buy the old cuz it's 1000000000000 times better!!!! In both character design, animation, and the personal traits of the chars (Throttle would Never speak badly of Stoker and Stoker is Nothing like what he is portrayed as in the new series) - not that Stoker appears in the 1st volume :_(Bottom line is buy it!! Specially if you're a fan, as hopefully when enough people have bought it Rick Ungar and Tom Tataranowiz (the main names behind the Biker Mice, as far as I'm aware) will give in to the pleas of us long-time fans and release ALL the original episodes on DVD! There's even a petition for that - can't put url's here but google "biker mice petition" and sign it! ;)Love to anyone who is also a fan ^^Ride free!!!!XD

So, if you're on this page chances are you already now that Biker Mice from Mars is a completely awesome show and I won't have to convince you of that. The original series, in my opinion, is infinitely better than the new series. I really hope they bring out the other episodes on dvd as well - but if/when they do, I hope they do a better job of it.First off, remember that absolutely rockin' opening? That's not on the dvd. On none of the episodes. I'd have understood if they'd only put it in on the first episode and not the others, but it's cut out everywhere. Second, no language or subtitle options at all, which is a shame since I know that there are many Finnish, German and Dutch fans (and probably other nationalities) who'd get a great nostalgia kick from hearing the bro's in their native tongue again. Third, the episodes are edited, with bits cut out that I think are due to copyright issues. That is, I haven't watched all the episodes yet, but a lot of the songs are cut out. In the original eps, there were several moments where the mice burst into song - and so far, these have all been cut out. Sometimes, such as in episode 13 'Hard rock', this is incredibly noticeable and jarring. And inexplicably, in the case of the episode mentioned, the song that was cut out from the episode is used in the credits. So why cut it out then?!If this was purely about the dvd and not the actual show, this product would get 1 star; vice versa, if I only had to rate the show it would be 5 stars, which is why I settled on 3. Unfortunately there seems to be no easy way to contact Brentwood Television Funnies, the company that owns BMfM, and ask them if the other seasons are forthcoming and if those dvd's will be better. I'm not even sure if they're still in business, given how little information I can find about them, but I hope someone with better search skills may be able to figure out more.

I loved this show when I was younger and now I can enjoy it with my son. What could be better, bikes and rock'n'roll and giant mice from Mars. I hope that the rest of the series is released on dvd soon.

Don't bother with it. Although the subject is awesome the actual dvd version has been edited and cut so much its not worth it. Music and fight scenes have been cut out. And only 12 out of 60 episodes are on it. Very disappointing.

I LOVED this show as a kid and now as an adult it was the only reason id get out of bed and go to school and now I get to watch it whenever I want!! Just wish I could buy the other seasons in english.
