The Holistic Dog Book: Canine Care for the 21st Century

Boy, now this is a detailed book. This covers every area of holistic care for your canine. I love that it covers aroma therapy, homeopathy and flower essences, in addition to others. These were the areas that I was most interested in. The information is very detailed, which I loved. It's so nice to have every area covered in one book instead of having to buy numerous books to find out information on various subjects. It also covers massage and TellingtonTouch which you'd usually have to buy individual books for information on these subjects. Preview the table of contents and you'll find what you're looking for. Very good book to have on hand.

Since I had not had a puppy in 35 years, nor had I been a dog owner for more than 20 years, I knew I needed guidance. I had already decided that I would raise my dog without processed crap (already raise my family on nutrient-dense foods) and every blog I found recommended this book. I read the entire book before bringing our puppy home and now I use it as a reference guide. There is so much good, evidence-based info in here and I have now recommended it to many other dog owners. I now have a happy, healthy, raw-fed pup who is thriving!

This book has some good information within it, but I was somewhat disappointed in it. I do not like the organization of it as I wind up having to read a whole chapter to get the information I need instead of finding it in concise labeled portions dealing with one problem. I like to be able to search for a solution by consulting the index or table of contents and then to go directly to what I want.

Just enough on each of the categories to give you information. Then you can pick and further your reading. It is not too overwhelming to discourage you.

Over the last several months I have become more interested in learning about natural healings/alternative medicine for myself. Then I got the idea to look for it also for pets animals. I found this book to be very insightfully there are so many different things that fall under holistic care. I will defiantly be reading and learning more about various holistic methods (i.e. massage therapy, aromatherapy, herbs, Bach flowers etc). When I get a new puppy sometime next year I plan to take him to a holistic vet and luckily I think I have found a wonderful clinic thats close to me and combines both holistic treatments and modern vet medicine. I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in holistic opportunities for their pet.

This is the best book for people looking for alternative ways to keep their pets healthy. I did a significant amount of research prior to purchasing this book and I have not been disappointed. I believe that the Earth supplies us with everything we need to heal ourselves and I try to avoid conventional/chemically laden ingredients for myself and I figured it was high time I did the same for my beloved puppies! I have only barely scratched the surface with implementing practices from this book into our dogs daily lives, but I am already noticing improvements in their health. I am excited to put this book to further use!

This book arrived within the time frame they gave me and the book is a great book. If you are looking for natural ways to treat your dog, this book will be of a real help. I am totally happy with this purchase. The book is chocked full of tips and ways to manage a crisis with your dog. If you are thinking of ordering this book you won't be sorry!

This is the best book that's ever been written about real health in dogs. The author beautifully explains every aspect regarding your dog's health and well being. Everybody who loves their dogs must read and have this book.

Very informative book on doggie ailments! We have a toy poodle and thought it would be good to have the information on hand!

I liked this book a lot. Its very interesting and gives you a completely new way to look at healing pets. The font is not very nice and the book looks cheap and old but I can honestly say I really liked the contents. Interesting read.

This book gave me the confidence to try the diet to help my dogs overcome allergies. I am enjoying it very much.
