HikersWool to Prevent Blisters Hiking

Never having used it, I bought a bought a pack of Hikers Wool for my recent Tour du Mont Blanc trek (along with various other blister prevention/treatment products).The little toe on my left foot tends to get squashed against the fourth toe and the former's nail can create a 'hot spot' on the side of the latter. This DID happen on a couple of occasions and I wrapped a small strip of the wool around the fourth toe and subsequently had absolutely no problems at all ! As another example of using the product, a fellow walker had a blister on the back of her heel and the Compeed that she'd applied was not really providing enough cushion. So, we cut an oval shaped piece of Moleskin with a whole in the middle (so like a doughnut) and applied the Moleskin with a piece of Hikers Wool 'trapped' in the hole and she also testified to the much improved treatment as compared to the Compeed.I think the fact that the wool contains lanolin really helps too. Lanolin is used in other applications to treat soreness or rashes.One 'funny' thing is that the Wool can 'integrate' with your Merino socks!For more information, you can find a number of videos online on how to apply the Wool.
