Incorrect Information Found Throughout the Book
There are various questionable information as well as typographical errors in this book. On page 13, it states that Nucleotides are molecules composed of a purine or pyrimidine, a 5-carbon sugar, and phosphate. However on page 19, under Figure 2.11 is says that a nucleotide lacks the phosphate group. Also, Guanine is spelled with a "q" on page 13. There is a typo on page 37 (Claudistics vs Cladistics). Page 57 states that the anterior end of the gastrointestinal tract contains the mouth, and the anterior end contains the anus. On page 89, Vasopressin is spelled Casopressin. Based on the amount of errors in the first 90 pages of this book, I don't feel comfortable relying on this book to prepare me for the DAT, particularly on harder subjects such as General and Organic Chemistry. Even though most of the information in the Biology section is accurate and helpful, coming across so many small errors in a book that is supposed to help prepare students for a very tough and competitive exam, just does not look very professional. I will be switching to a different DAT book for the rest of the subjects.

This Book has the potential to negatively impact your official DAT score!
Not only are some of the answer choices in this book labelled incorrectly, but some of the answer explanations are absolutely wrong. On pp. 524, question 60, it provides a question about reduction potentials given half reactions. (see pictures). however the correct answer choice and explanation are incorrect. For potentials, you reverse the signs if you reverse the equation, but you never multiply it by the coefficients, it is a intensive property, independent of stoichiometric coefficients. On the other hand, enthalpy and entropy are extensive properties, so you must not only reverse signs if you reverse the equation, but you must also multiply by stoichiometric coefficients. If you do buy this book, be extremely careful. I would just save your money and use it for other trusted resources. I wish I could get my money back.
