Howto care for this plant?

These plants are not fussy or difficult to care for, basically they have the same needs as most houseplants. They like bright indirect light, don’t put them near an area where your central air or heating vents are located they will drop leaves! Don’t overwater let the soil dry out in between watering that will vary based on the humidity levels in your home. Usually watering once or twice a month is sufficient; test the soil by sticking your finger into to see how moist it is, then thoroughly water the plant if needed and allow it to drain off excess water- don’t allow the pot to stand in water - the soil will become waterlogged and the plant doesn’t do well in wet soil. Typically you don’t need fertilizer except during active growth spurts- too much fertilizer can damage the plant and will form a crust on the soil.

How tall does this grow?

Mine is just over a year old and is roughly 2 feet tall from top of soil to tip of highest stalk and ready for a new larger pot. if you keep it watered the leafs misted, and make sure it has a correctly sized pot it will grow tall!!!

how big can they grow

My plants are not growing tall so far. However, I search Google images this plant can grow as tall as a room high. I believe it will take many years to grow very high.

Description

Asparagus setaceus, commonly known as Common Asparagus Fern, Lace Fern, Climbing Asparagus, or Ferny Asparagus, is a vine plant in the genus Asparagus. Despite its common name, the plant is not a true fern, but has leaves that resemble one. It is native to Southern Africa, and is grown elsewhere as an ornamental plant. Occurring from spring to autumn, the small greenish-white bell-shaped flowers are followed by small green berries, which turn black with maturity. Prefers morning sun or very bright indirect light. Water thoroughly when on the dry side.
