Updated 09 Dec 2016 -- upped my rating to 5 star. Pillows are broken in and I'm very pleased with this purchase. Very comfortable for side or stomach sleeping. Even with all the rocks in my head, they are holding up well, sinking in just enough to retain comfort throughout the night. Glad I have them. Zzzzzzzzzzz!!!! Purchased in Aug 2016: Hard to buy pillows online but the description was accurate about the pillow type and the 550 fill, and firmness. Odd though that I ordered these on the website that showed "pillows by Better Down, sold by Quality Pillow" which matched the actual image on the website. I received what are similar pillows from/by "Continental Bedding". Even the label inside the plastic bag packaging was identical to the "Better Down" pillows listed, other than the company name. I get angry when these vendors swap products out and mix and match and mislead customers. I was going to return these but after considerable thought and not wanting to be further inconvenienced I opted for keeping the pillows that were sent. If this were clothing or tools or shoes, so what, but on products that my face will be on every night, I'd prefer accuracy on my orders and get exactly what is listed on the webpage I'm ordering from. The pillows are firm and good for back and side sleeping, seem to be stitched well, sturdy, with only a mild "feathery odor" which I know dissipates from down pillows in awhile. It's very mild. I would have ordered the Royal Hotel pillows but they are only 28 inch, and I prefer the 30 inch length so kept the set I received. While on the bed these pillows look like they're blown full of air because they stand so tall; just saying they are plenty full of down and do not squish much during the night. I alternate sleeping on my stomach and side, and these pillows are fine. I know over time down will lose some fluff (my old set did/pretty flat now) so the 550 fill is very good now, although a bit more firm than I wanted but that's OK. They'll break in a bit over time. These are full and after you push your hand into the pillow, it bounces back well. They are covered in a good amount of material so I expect they'll last. These were not cheap, and I'm still annoyed these did not match what I ordered; something odd going on, that these are being sold under different names, can't find the manufactures online anywhere, web pages do t match what I ordered..... Dunno, I guess it'll be fine if I get what I paid for as these are expensive pillows...so far so good but I've only had them a week.

Well after reading many many reviews and online recommendations, I chose this pillow and so glad I got it right the first time! It does sink when lying on my back so I have to fluff before laying back. And on my side, it’s so fluffy my nose gets buried but it is so easily rearranged and will conform to whatever shape you need. I really love it because it’s so soft, with medium fill that is not too flat or too firm. It’s very supportive to my petite frame. I got the queen size and I have so much extra fluff, I put the extra behind my shoulder/back when on my side.

Good quality, but we ordered firm pillows, and they still don't have enough down. Comparing these to more expensive hotel/B&B grade pillows - these are not the same. Update after several weeks of use: this pillow is just about useless. Downgraded to 1 star. If the good reviews are legit, then the quality control must be all over the map. These pillows sink down to nothing. Literally an inch thick in the middle. If this is the manufacturer's idea of firm, I can't imagine what soft is - any empty pillow case? I guess it is "firm" if you count whatever happens to be under it!

I think it was a culmination of a few different variables, but around the time that I got this pillow, my sleep quality and length improved by more than a marginal amount. I had been sleeping on pillows that were embarrassingly old just due to plain old inertia, and I finally decided to make a change. This pillow has made falling asleep much easier, and I never wake up with a crick in my neck like I used to. The firmness feels like what I would be led to believe most people would define as "medium." I know that this is seen as expensive for a pillow, but think about how long you use a pillow. If you used this pillow the maximum length recommended before throwing it out (3 years from what I've been able to find) and bought it using Prime ($84.99 at the time of my writing this), you would be spending roughly 13 CENTS a day for the best sleep of your life. Why cut corners on one of the most important things you do in life? My only regret is that I only bought 1. I should be remedying this soon.

I was so so excited that these two pillows arrived finally. I opened the box and they were packed inside the usual thick plastic bag with one side zipper for pillows and comforter you would get from the department stores. As soon as I opened them, I love the way they feel and hug them. However, I notice there’s a hint of animal smell ( I guess they should have a smell since it’s made out of goose?). I slept on them last night with two layers of pillow cases wrapped over them, but the smell just got stronger over night. But I have to admit I slept really well last night. They fell like similar pillows when we stayed at the 5 stars hotels. I don’t know if putting them in the washing machine would help to get rid of the smell or I just received a bad batch? There’s not a washateria near me, so I have to go around to find one and wash them because home washing machine just would not fit them. The pillows could have 5 stars if they didn’t smell like wet animals.... I have to take away one star for that. I enclosed some photos and a video to share with the future buyers. The tissue bid was placed next to it to show the height of it when lay flat. Unfortunately I can’t upload the “smell”...

Smooth transaction and delivery. The KING FIRM was too soft for me. I will be trying other brands in search of that magic luxury pillow and saw this first...and admit the price was great BUT (you know the saying). I will not be returning it though and may use on top of another pillow. Now, a while back, i bought a Bloomie's $300 pillow and that isn't the greatest so i know it's NOT PRICE that makes a pillow great (CUDDLEDOWN is $339!!). The search continues. I know one exists as i have experienced in a hotel once or twice and forgot to search the tags.
