Amazing waffle iron, exactly what i wanted
Made waffles in the fire, make sure you spray it with an oil or something so they don't stick. But once the iron is warm you make waffles in no time.Great product

Pre-seasoned, quality iron
This is my second waffle iron. The first was a similar looking, but unbranded and unseasoned iron. I never had any luck with the first one. The mix kept sticking and I could never lift out a complete iron. This one is brilliant and I have a few top tips. 1. Preheat the iron over glowing embers for 5 minutes. 2. Spray the inside with olive oil. If it steams and leaves a white residue behind its good to go. If it spits and disappears, it’s too hot. 3. Make your own batter. It should be quite thick. Like porridge. 4. Cook for 2 minutes each side over the embers. The best thing about this iron is that it is already seasoned. In other words, it has a non-stick layer (from heating a certain oil). This means it’s ready to use where others need heating and treating with oil first. The waffles were beautiful tonight and a real hit with everyone. I’m very pleased and can’t wait to make some more. Very highly recommended.

The best camping breakfast we've had!
We use this waffle iron to make breakfast over our campfire. It is a bit fiddly trying to ensure that the embers are the right temperature, but this is just down to lack of experience. We made waffles for 4 people and they tasted amazing. The whole family now insist on waffles every time we go camping.

Cheap and hard to operate
This won't work if you don't have a gas hob. The plates don't sit flat on a stovetop, the cast iron is of poor quality so everything sticks to it, and there is so much horizontal play in the hinge that it is hard to close properly. Save yourself the money and get a higher quality one instead.
