Chateau Chambord Mantel Clock, 51 cm, Polyresin, Gold

Magnificent looking, a centre of attraction when I have visitors, very elegant. I hope the gold lustre last, I really like it.

Stunning,with it's huge size and ornate features was taken a back when it came.pictures dont do it justice. Took me a while to figure out where to put batteries because instructions said at the rear but got there in the end, quite easy really.

Sadly I had to return this lovely product because I overlooked how tall it was, (51cm) If the product had been 28cm tall (which I incorrectly thought it was), I would have kept it. As usual, Amazon returns were flawless.

Perhaps I was naive but I never anticipated how cheap & gaudy this item would look. For the price I thought it would have an antique appearance but it was more like a theatrical prop. I suppose it’s largely a matter of taste, it certainly wasn’t to mine. To make matters worse, the clock face was not set straight. At least it was easy ( although heavy to package and post) to return and get a refund.

An outrageously cheap alternative to a genuine renaissance Italianate clock but I really like it. Its certainly commented on by visitors and I say it was made in Shandong near Florence.

Good item. Would be 5 but I want to buy the matching handle holder and it doesn’t deliver to me in Northern Ireland unfortunately. Odd it’s the same material and seller

Absolutely beautiful clock as I said on the title. It’s very extravagant. The clock is easy to clean, and looks high-quality. It’s a little bit shiny depending on how the light hits it. But it actually looks good when it’s being illuminated by either natural light or normal light coming into the room. The working Clock is very easy to install also. Although the instructions say to pop out the front. It’s much easier to get a very thin object like a tiny nail file put it in between the clock openings in the front side and slowly pop it out. You’ll notice it being slightly nudged forward, allowing you to grab it and pull it out to insert the battery. Absolutely nothing negative to say about it. I had to move it around a few times to figure out a perfect spot. The clock can very easily stand out, so you may want to move it around a bit.

Design Toscano products can best be described as a "mixed bag". I have a lot of different stuff from them, make sure to read Amazon reviews before buying since some items are really good, and some are a less so. (Also don't bother trying to contact Design Toscano directly, they never reply - buy directly from Amazon so at least they got you covered). This clock is well worth the price, with the only minor drawback being the position of the arms of the ladies along the sides. The way they bend their wrist makes it look like they have "spaghetti arms". But, the overall impression of the design outweights the minor flaws.
