This device is easy to use, literally plug and play. You install the app on your phone, plug this into your car's diagnostic port, and away you go. It's just a little dongle supplied with a handy pull-thread to remove it (I highly recommend you fit this before using!).The usefulness of this is dependent on the make and model of your vehicle. I've found the OBDeleven website to be somewhat unclear at times as to what each app can do (that you buy with credits) and so on.I plugged it into a Ford and was able to see engine diagnostics. The Ford support is only for US manufactured models so my experience was limited.I think overall if you're searching for this device based on the advice of others, you're going to be OK. If you're generally looking for a diagnostic port device, ensure this is definitely the one for you.

Brilliant for my audi and my VW

I do know that this is advertised as VAG group OBD reader but it does state that it is also compatible with other brands (Nissan) in my case though a simpler reading to be expected. I have not been able to get it to work though, just wont recognise my car, I keep getting a message to ensure the car's ignition is on but just refuses to connect.i have since given up trying.Will check it on my brothers 2024 Tiguan to see what setting I can tinker with when I next see him.

I bought this OBD reader to check an airbag warning light on my VW Polo, and I was impressed with how quick and simple the whole process was. The app instructions are very straightforward, making it easy for someone with little car knowledge to set everything up and run diagnostics. Within minutes, I had scanned my car, found the fault code, and could clearly see that it was marked as passive. The app then gave me the option to clear the warning light, which worked instantly. This saved me both time and money, as I had already been to a garage that couldn’t help me and were about to send me off to a VW “specialist.” I’m really glad I tried this reader first—it’s a reliable and easy-to-use tool that I’d highly recommend to anyone wanting to do quick checks on their car.

It is early days with this device. It appears of good quality, the app is informative and responsive, but I am loathe to change anything on my Skoda Scala is being less than 4 months old, it still has 32 months warranty to run and I don't wish to compromise that. I have to say that whilst this device does seem to provide a number of options, which I haven't utilised, the diagnostics, whilst good, don't really provide me with information that I can't readily obtain anyway from the car's inbuilt diagnostic systems.I am confident that there are more competent people than I with a greater understanding of the set up within their care and they may wish to see if they can alter the settings on their vehicle. From my perspective, whilst it is noce to see the information on an app, I am not sure whether I would use this app or the device consistently.a four star rating based mainly on the fact that the device and app do work, do provide information, but unless you know what you are doing with engine management, this may be a device that you leave alone. I removed a star as I have seen similar products at a lower price, which may not offer all of the functionality but for some of us, taking a look is all that you might need.

This OBDeleven PRO Pack works really well overall, it’s packed with features that make diagnostics and customisation simple, even if you’re not a pro mechanic. It’s especially handy for Volkswagen Group cars, but also supports BMW, Toyota, Ford, and more.I really like how easy it is to use, from one-click apps for quick changes to more advanced coding options if you want to dig deeper. It saves a lot of time and gives you access to settings you’d normally never touch without specialist tools.One thing I’ve noticed, though, is that for BMW/Toyota vehicles, the OBDeleven app doesn’t seem to pick up the scanner on iOS devices. On Android phones, it connects without any issues, so it’s clearly more reliable there at the moment. Hopefully, a future update will improve the iOS side for BMWs.Overall, it’s a fantastic tool that delivers exactly what it promises, highly recommend it, especially if you’re using Android for your setup.
