Hooded flannel sweater is not too thick and not too thin material. I like to wear this type of sweater when we have bonfires at the beach. The color red and flannel is good and flattering and keeps me warm while I’m outside. The fit is true to size and versatile for summer nights or cold California winter nights. Recommend for anytime of the year well at least in southern Cali people.

Although I have several items of clothing from this manufacturer that I love, there is something off about this shirt jacket. That something that is off is the fit. Although ok in overall length and sleeve length, the body of this shirt is way too tight. It is more like a small large or a large medium rather than an XL in the body of the shirt jacket. The only way for me to comfortably wear this is to leave it unbuttoned and with that it is still noticeably small through my shoulders. Rather than struggle with this , I gave it to my wife for some cold weather slouch wear. She can roll the sleeves way up, and the — for her — extra length is no big deal. I really wanted to like this as the material — unlined — feels nice, should be moderately warm, the colors are spot on with what is shown on Amazon, and it is well constructed. I expected something great from this company in line with all of their other products that I have, but was very disappointed with the sizing of this shirt jacket.

I like how it looks; the red is very vibrant. I ordered the XL. As others have pointed out, the sizing is a bit small. It still fits me but does fit more like a large than an extra large. I think it's comfortable, although I only wear hoodies or similar outwear with a t-shirt underneath. I can't really speak to the warmth. I live in Southern California, and this was offered in the middle of summer. The thickness of the material is fine for my area but that doesn't mean it would be for Michigan. I'll certainly wear it in our "winter."

Material is thick and soft. I have not put the hoodie through the wash as of yet so can't report on the durability. Update: It has washed well and not shrunken when washing. No pilling on the material.

I love flannel shirts. I love hoodies. Match made in heaven, right? Nope. Fit: Couldn't even get this around my shoulders and, while I'm not a twig, that's just absurd. Quality: Poor craftsmanship. The material is abrasive with no loft. Weight: It is so thin you can see through it (and I got the black & red one). Functionality: Can't wear it. If I could it would be uncomfortable. So, no, I wouldn't say it is functional. Value for the money: I'm trying to choose between throwing this away or giving it to a homeless shelter. So I would say there isn't any value for the money.

I have a lot of items from this brand and can attest to the longevity and quality of their items. This item misses the mark in fit and style. I the body of the garment was longer than expected while the sleeves were too short. It felt uncomfortable. I would recommend sizing up but then im not sure how well it fit overall because while the sleeves may fit the rest of the garment may be too big. The quality of the material feels subpar. I would not recommend.
