Fast, good cut, weird taste (at least first uses)
The media could not be loaded. It arrived fast. The machine seems to work great. just tested it with a small amount of tobbacco (about an ounce). The cut comes amazing and it is super fast.My only problem is that the tobbaco came out with some “burned oil taste” and impossible to smoke because of that. Is this normal in the first uses? Will it get better? I hope it will get better and it is not some loose part or something causing problems.

Excellent Shredder!
Received as promised. Just what I was looking for and a great price! This machine makes all the difference in the world. Before, I was shredding my tobacco with a modified paper shredder (lol). But, when you have the proper tools, the difference is hugh. Now I can enjoy tobaccos from around the world and shredded properly. With RYO, I have two factors to achieve; 1) saving money and 2) the ability to taste tobacco flavors from all around the world. There is so much more to taste and enjoy than simply buying a pack of cigarettes at the store. Whenever someone buys a pack of cigarettes they have no idea what they are somking! But with RYO, I can smoke a tobacco leaf from any part of the world. I can roll it tight and make it last longer or I can roll it loose and smoke it fast. But, this POWERMATIC S TOBACCO SHREDDING MACHINE defines RYO It's worth every penny I paid. If you are going to roll your own cigarettes, this is a tool that you MUST have!

very powerful motor BUT
I have been using this shredder for 4 months now shredding about 4 lbs of whole leaf tobacco per monthThe shredder works great but has such high torque when turning it on that one of the sealed bearings exploded just but turning it on.there wasn't a jamming issue or any thing else it just screeched after turning it on and several ball bearings fell out the bottom. For such a high priced item youd think that the manufacturer would use quality parts that are designed the amout of torque the motor puts out when initially turned on

Worked great—until it didn't
I was absolutely in love with this the first couple of times I used it (aside from it being difficult to clean the blades), but this last time it completely stopped working. I've only used it about three or four times over the last year and a half, and this time it made a loud popping sound (like metal), and a bolt came out. As this has happened to others—and some had success with repair—I unscrewed it, and part of the plastic crumbled. Not only was one of the screws falling out, a couple of others were loose. I tightened them and put it back together, and it still won't work. I know it had a one year limited warranty, and it's been over one year, but this is ridiculous for the price and how little use I got out of it; I expected it to last way longer than a year and a half.I contacted the company, and their response was they could send replacement parts. I have no idea what I would do with those, so the machine is useless now.

Bought it, love it.
Fantastic machine. Love it! If you're using one of those hand rolling tobacco grinders like we were, do yourself a favor and buy this machine. You will be VERY glad you did. We smoked American Spirit pouch tobacco for years and this shreds very similar to that, even better I think. Plus, with the money you'll save grinding/rolling your own, the machine is a wise investment.

I like it!
I have used the Powermatic S Tobacco Shredding Machine for both my home grown tobacco leaves and some purchased tobacco leaf. I am very satisfied. Before this purchase, I tried processing by plugging my tobacco before cutting with a knife or the Teck 1, by cutting with the old fashion cutters (grinders) purchased on eBay, and just rolling the tobacco before cutting with a knife. This is by-far the best avenue for processing tobacco leaf.
