One heck of a tasty Salame!
I have read the other reviews. Despite that this is a fantastic salame. Mine was not sour nor any type of foul taste at all. It is everything that a dry cured meat should be, with a bit more of a peppery spicy taste, far from overpowering. Everybody has different tastes but this one would suit just about anybody I know. Plenty of taste.Might as well mention that the seller, Taylor's Market, certainly got it here fresh! Packed the best I've seen with artificial ice bricks, it was fresh and tasty when it arrived. Even in it's own mini Styrofoam ice chest. Wow, haven't seen that before.I have a consumer but very good deli slicer, and my liking is about 1.5mm thick.I found it very nicely packed, and loved that I didn't have to cut the "fiore" or the white casing off. That is a pain without the properly ultra sharp knife and some skill, and strength. The wrap that it is delivered in is very good, airtight and thick. Overall this is certainly not my last order. I haven't found any cons.

Wonderful Stuff
The real deal in salami, as good as any you might buy in the states.

Cured meat extraordinaire!
This product it’s so good that I am a repeat customer throughout the years. Sopressata is not impossible to find at the higher end grocery stores in the deli, but it can be challenging. 2 1/2 pounds of sopressata was, and continues to be, one heck of a deal. I tend to enjoy mine sliced super thin, almost shaved which I do at home on my meat slicer. Try a slice with cream cheese and Sriracha and you may just find yourself addicted to your next favorite snack. Put a couple slices on any of your favorite sandwiches for added saltiness, and delicious seasoned flavor. You won’t be sorry.

I should have heeded the poor reviews on this
I should have heeded the poor reviews on this!!! It was exactly as they stated: full of chunks of grizzle and fat; very greasy!! I have had other (smaller) Sopressatas from Columbus that were very tasty!! Maybe it's just this size ......... hope so!!

Watch your cholesterol!
Great flavor but a little too fatty. Big chunks throughout. Still! Very good in moderation.

meat was sour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Tommy HerePurchased 2.5 sopressata as price and shipping were great.I was going to slice a half pound at a time and give to my kids when they came over.I tasted one slice and found it to be medicinal and very sour. Its texture and smell were perfect, but was inedible.I asked my 27 year old daughter to taste(in case it was me)and she spit it out.She loves sopressata. So sorry ColumbusMaybe Californians have no taste buds. Was refunded by Taylor's.

Could be really good with some tweaks!
I think the flavor is really good, you just have to get over the huge chunks of fat that either fall out or you pull out, its almost like they don't grind the meat well enough.

It's good stuff. Too bad Kroger stores in Kentucky are not carrying this brand any longer. To bad for them. I'm certainly not going to succumb and buy their inferior Private Stock brand or that overpriced Bore's Head junk when I can order what I really want online.
