Excellent Socks
This is my second order of these socks after having previously ordered a first pair over a year ago. They are pricey but worth every penny and will purchase yet more again in the future so I have several working pairs. I use these in my running in the Pacific NW area. This means I often run in the rain and these socks keep my feet warm, provide amazing cushioning, and are very comfortable. Highly recommend.

Everything I was hoping they would be.
Im a darn tough guy. I have a pair of the 1964 and like how they keep my feet warm but wanted a different pattern. Purchased the full cushion heavy weights and man are they super comfy and warm!! Happy with the purchase. Happy with the lifetime guarantee.

Some socks come along only once in a lifetime
Philosopher Kevin Malone once said that if anybody ever gives you 1000:1 odds in a bet, you should take it. As a fellow man of intellect, I will add this: if anybody ever gives you a lifetime guarantee on a piece of clothing, you should buy it.The funny thing about Darn Tough socks is that, for me, the lifetime guarantee is only my second favorite thing about them. Sure, it's a huge help in explaining to my mom why I bought a pair of socks for $25, and it helps me sleep with the decision as well. But my top reason for buying Darn Tough is simple...They're made out of MERINO WOOL!I don't want to offend the gentle-hearted, so consider this a trigger warning for bawdy wardrobe behavior. Now that the simpletons have stopped reading: I now have two pairs of socks, they're both the socks you're looking at, and I can wear them for two weeks at a time. Odor is nonexistent. Even in my stinky shoes, ten minutes laying on the floor and these things smell fresh-out-of-the-package clean once again. I wear them to work, to the gym, while riding the motorcycle, whatever. They don't smell. It's incredible.I'm generally pretty suspicious of any clothing advertisement that is trying to convince me that they have ADVANCED HIGH-TECH MOISTURE WICKING ODOR ELIMINATING fabric. It seems absurd, as if the audience is supposed to believe that the manufacturer built microscopic robots that eat smell or something. So when I started reading about merino wool, I was suspicious. I bought these socks expecting to return at least one of the pairs, and I left that pair in the package for the first two weeks. But merino is the real deal. This stuff is amazing. Making socks out of it makes perfect sense. I travel with just the socks on my feet now. And, again, these come with a lifetime guarantee, which is totally crazy but backed up by a company that will be there in twenty years, processing your warranty claims with that kindly Vermont humor. So buy these socks. You won't regret it.

Very comfortable
Have had issues with socks in the past wearing through on the bottom and needing to be thrown away early into the lifespan of the sock. These are holding up great and are just warm enough but not to the point of sweaty feet. I like them and will eventually likely buy more.

Nice socks for the winter months.
Warm socks, tested in snowy weather, cold wind. Test scenes beach as well as Manhattan-Central Park. 20 F and 30. kept feeling warm until I got home and was outside for 3 hours. It's that this sock is expensive, please consider discounts when purchasing it, it's the most expensive Darn Tough sock I've found so far, not including discontinued ones. The only heavy-duty sock that I can say does the job it is supposed to do.

Darn Soft!
I have had several pairs of this co. socks and decided to try a pair of this style. They say it is the one of the warmest they sell. Feel really good and it is warm. The only issue it is a little short for a crew sock. Next time I will purchase the over-the-calf style.

Must have to avoid blisters.
If you like to hike in Texas like me, good wool socks are crucial for avoiding blisters and these socks work as well as any other brand I've tried, with the best warranty.

Thick
Heavy duty! They will be good winter work socks for my steel toe boots. Normally use the light or medium cushion variety of this brand but this style is noticeably more cushioned.

Hands down, these are my favorite sock ever.
Having used a number of sock brands for trekking and later for work (wick dry when pounding the pavement), Darn Tough comes out on top over and over. Have used them in the Himalayas, and Kilimanjaro as well as weekends in the Rockies. They don't cause blisters and are extremely comfortable. I prefer the heavy padded ones, but all are of excellent quality, don't bag and fit nicely.
