Ordered this as a gift for a special child and it was a HUGE hit - it's not hard to see why, considering how cool it is - so much so that I kind of want to play with it myself LOL. It's clearly Jurassic World inspired and that's evident just at a quick glance. They did a great job integrating it into that world! Both the big dino and the figures it comes with are very nicely done and the detail on them is excellent - you can see that time and care was put into the design and it shows.The dinosaur has some very cool features like attack mode which you can simply hit the trigger on the tail to activate - making it super easy for it be in "action mode" even for younger kids. It's got a TON of other features too like eye color changes, jaw action that opens and closes, and some removable launchers that actually have a good, far reaching trajectory. The tongue is super interesting and has a "real feel" feature that is a hit with the kids, especially when they put the figures into the dino's mouth LOL.The dino itself is 18" high so it's just about the perfect size for a preschooler - and the included figures are about 3" so it's a safe size for that age group, and this thing has SO many fun features that will give them hours of entertainment and playtime. And you can sneak some motor skill training and imagination there too (since this is a learning tool after all) so it definitely serves more than just one purpose.As far as age goes, this is one of those toys that is recommended for 3+, probably because the small parts can be an issue with smaller kids putting them in their mouth. But really, the way that these are designed sort of doesn't allow that, so even a slightly younger kid would be able to safely play with this without issue.Fisher Price has made great toys since I was a kid (a long, LOOONG time ago) and it's great to see that not only are they still doing that, but they keep adding new offerings that kids love and help them learn and grow. This product is no exception.The price on this is certainly not low but based on how much playtime and enjoyment a child can get out of this, plus how well it's made and the level of quality that you can clearly see, I believe it to be absolutely worth every penny. This is no doubt the perfect gift for any dinosaur crazy kid, and sure to become a favorite. The possibility for fun both during solo play and playing with other kids or even parents is endless.I highly recommend this toy. It checks all the boxes for safety, fun, function, quality and using your imagination. It was by far the clear winner of "best present" for the child who received it, and that's really the best testimonial you can get. :)

The Imaginext Chomp T. Rex is an excellent toy for any kid who is interested in (or obsessed with) dinosaurs. Here’s my quick list of pros and cons for the item.Pros:- The size of the dinosaur is amazing. It’s absolutely huge and my child’s face lit up the first time he saw it.- It has a squeeze trigger on the tail that makes its eyes light up red, its neck drop and jaw open as it starts to roar, and its entire body to start vibrating like it’s stomping around. This really aids my child’s imaginative boundaries as it helps him play like the dinosaur is alive and angrily chasing after one of his other toys.- There’s also a push button on top of its back that will cause the eyes to light up green and its jaw to open and close as if it’s chowing down on some food. This is considered the “tame” mode for the dinosaur.- Includes a small man, smaller dinosaur, and detachable weapons with two claw projectiles and two net projectiles. The man and smaller dinosaur can fit in the T. Rex’s mouth and the projectiles are easy to load and shoot from the weapons, all of which just add more imaginative value to the toy by giving more ways for my children to play with this toy.- This is very high quality. My kids can be pretty rough on toys but this is one that will definitely hold up to quite a bit of abuse. It’s not too heavy that they can’t move it around, but it’s not just some cheap plastic toy that’s going to break the first time a kid knocks it over.- No knowledge of Jurassic World is needed to enjoy this toy. None of my kids have watched it or even know what it is, yet they’ve all enjoyed the toy.Cons:- While the size is great for play, it does make it a little harder to store. Not a big deal though, just be aware that this probably won’t fit on a shelf or in a toy box with many other items.- The projectiles and the smaller figures are easy to lose. Not unexpected though.Overall I’m very impressed with the toy and my kids love it. It has enough features to keep them entertained for a while and allow them to use their imagination during play. I’ll give it 5/5 stars and would highly recommend to anybody who has a kid interested in dinosaurs.

This is a HUGE dinosaur. The Chomp T Rex has provided so much fun for my little one. If your child is into dinosaurs like mine this will bring them so much joy. Pressing the tail makes the dino roar, light up and makes his eyes change color. It comes with 2 action figures and launchers. Batteries are included. It allows my grand to be creative with imaginary play. It's well made of durable and sturdy plastic. Except for the tongue, it has a real feel texture to it. There is a power pad on top that makes the jaws open and close. It's a bit noisy but that's part of the fun playing with it.

This T. rex is an absolute hit with the kids, it’s large, sturdy, and packed with features that make playtime exciting. At 18 inches tall, it makes an impressive centerpiece for dinosaur adventures, and the lights, sounds, and chomping motion bring it to life in a way that really captures their imagination. My kids especially love loading the smaller figures into the T. rex’s mouth and then watching them drop for dramatic effect. The included launchers and projectiles add another layer of fun, keeping play sessions creative and interactive. Overall, this has a quick assembly, and I think the value for the money is there, it's a little on the higher end than most toys but this is a really large toy, and you will get many years of play out of it.
