TonnoSport 22040169 Roll-Up Cover for Dodge Ram 1500 Crew Cab 5' 7" Bed (Except RamBox Cargo Management System)

Is I when I got this tonneau cover I couldn't wait to install it. I got to work. When I started to read the instructions. They where a little miss leading because they tell you to refer to a picture that is black and white and you really can't tell what part they are referring too. Anyways I use some common since and used my noggin on the install. It took me about a hour in to install. That's just because I didn't have any help and I didn't have vice grips or rail holders to hold up the rails on one side while I was working on the other side of the rail. Once I was done it looked good but I had to adjust the tension on the tarp. After it was all said and done. It came out good. It feels a little flimsy when you lock it into place. I guess that's just the way they make them. I've taken the truck to the car wash twice since I had this tonnoSport and I'm happy to report that there is no water that get into the bed of the truck. It looks good and can't wait to see how it reacts in 100+ weather in the California valley. Check out some of my pics I took for the review.

As advertised; was easy to install, and works great. There are two negatives, 1) on my Dodge RAM the side rails have plastic guards on the top, the front (cab side) doesn't. Therfore there is a significant gap that allows water into the closed cover. This is easily remedied by adding a strip of weather stripping but this wasn't included. 2) the cover is a little wider than the rails, I have to overlap the velcro on the rails to get a tight fit, more than I would like to.Previously I had a truxedo lo pro qt, it was a little sturdier and had one fairly significant feature this one doesn't. The truxedo once rolled up had a quick disconnect button that allowed the rolled up cover and front bar assembly to be completely removed. This model would require unbolting the unit which although not difficult, would require tools and be time consuming.I don't think any of this warrents paying two hundred dollars extra for the nicer unit. My truck is a lease so this model suits me fine. If cash isn't a concern and you'll have the truck for a long time, go for the lo pro qt.

Excellent fit, looks very nice. The only thing I dislike is where it seals against the front of the bed. The amount of tension required to make the cover sound "like a drum" as they instruct actually pulls the front bar up enough that it doesn't seal all that well. Also, I do hear a bit of rattling from the crossbars at high speeds (60+) Either way, this is perfect for what I wanted: keep the snow and heavy rain off my stuff, and keep it hidden. I love it.

I was able to install it in an afternoon. The instructions are poorly photographed and printed, which led to some unnecessary steps. So far it has kept the bed dry through rain and snow and moves moderately after some tightening. It looks like it was professionally installed. I like the fact you have to first open the tailgate to open it.

I loveit:Instructions were clear and I was able to install the tonno-cover single handed. I looks really nice especially because the material has a textured pattern; no just plain. This style is the low profile design & it looks more expensive than it actually cost!!!I like it:However this cover does not provide a perfect seal so when it rains hard some water will get in at the front end. I have a rubber mat on my truck bed so nothing gets wet. If you want a perfect seal then you'll have to spend 2x or 3x the cost. Other than that I love it and highly recommend this cover. AD

Amazon shipped quick. Product arrived in good shape. The instructions were very clear (or you can find the install video on Youtube) and product was easy to install, took me an hour and I took my time. The cover material is a decent thickness, not the flimsy stuff, the latch mechanism pulls the top nice and taut against the tail gate, velcro gets everything tight and flush against the sides. I'll have to wait and see how it does after driving thru the rain. But I"m glad I purchased this!

for what it was intended for. to cover back of truck. great product for truck cover.

pretty good cover for the money, not as good as the high price ones but you get what you pay for... I would buy it again
