I needed license plate lights for my truck,it has an aftermarket flatbed on it that had no license plate lights. These parts worked extremely well and easy to install, they do the trick and are an excellent value.

The little lights screw into the plate securing screw holes as described (replacing the original screws) and cast light down on the plate. These are very effective on vehicles (like mine) that have no existing light mount. Wiring can be tricky in that the two wires from each light exit through the back of the bolt, therefore need to pass through the plate mount and then connect to the original license plate wire and a ground point. If the license plate mounts directly on the back of the car without a bracket, the wires will need to be accessed from within the trunk lid/hatch. Connectors not included. Soldering may be required.

For the price, these are great. No socket or screw top for the lights so mostly hand tight. That shouldn't be a problem I hope down the road as long as they don't come loose. Wiring is straight forward and gauge is decent. Time will tell how long they hold up, but no flicking or dead lights with the first 24 hours. So far, very happy and would recommend!

install was easy if you do work on your own car.if you do not, you will need a friend or a pro.installed on 2005 Scion xBwhich has a large hatchback back door***very important***unscrew your license plate screws and make sure the hole goes all the way through and you can access the other.interior side of the hole...you will be running the 12v.ground wires through that whole.on my xB i did the following:removed license plate and boltsremove nut and washer from new lightsrun each new light with wires into plate holesuse provided washer and nut on the interior side to tighten and align lights downward on to plate.i found the existing 12v.ground wires for stock plate lights with a voltmeter, cut them, as i wont be using stock lensbulbs anymore, and used for both new LEDs...the wires are thin, but LEDs require very little juicethey are perfect, nice pure, white light, not too bright, just right.

Spliced these in to my license plate light wiring, they did not come on. The lights don't work. DisappointedEdit: The seller contacted me immediately after my review. They sent me new lights expeditiously. Good customer service. When I was able to install them, they worked fine. I definitely appreciate the customer service I received. Lights work as intended and look good on my rig.Update: since editing my review, the lights worked great. Then they would work, but they would be extremely dim. Then bright. Then dim. Off and on. Eventually, they wouldn't work at all. For a solid week. Then, suddenly they worked again. Wiring has been checked. The lights are bright, when they work, which is hit or miss. One day they work, the next 10 minutes they don't.

Looks good, easy to mount, we'll see how they last

These are perfect for illuminating a motorcycle license plate when turning the plate vertical on a horizontal mount. The stock light only illuminates half of the plate as it was designed to be mounted horizontally. But, it's a good thing I only needed one to illuminate the rest of the plate because the two that I received are two different color whites! One is a cooler white, which I will use since it matches the stock light, but the other one is more of a warmer/more yellow white. Inconsistencies like this could be an issue., but for the price, and for only needing one, I'll be okay with it for this purchase. If I needed both of them, I would definitely be returning them.
