well worth the price!
we've had this bed frame for a few weeks, and it has performed admirably so far. the four outer legs are very sturdy and seem as if they will hold up for the long haul; the four intermediate legs aren't nearly as stout, but should hold up. i think two more legs down the middle would greatly increase stability and longevity, but maybe that's overkill.the bed was easy to put together. the two small wrenches really helped out.this frame is tall and has quite a bit of space underneath. we've pushed all kinds of boxes and other things under it.we bought a 9" thick mattress to go with this frame, and we can't feel the bars of the frame at all.i must note that the person who sleeps on this bed regularly is only 5'3" and weighs 110-120lbs. there has been no complaints of the frame shifting or squeaking. i am 6'2" and weigh 250lbs and rolled around on the bed after putting it together to test it out. we also laid on it side-by-side. in both cases the bed neither shifted or squeaked.i would definitely recommend this product for a small person. i think it would be fine for a large person or two medium-sized people (and maybe even two large people) as well, but it won't experience such conditions in my house so i can't say for sure.UPDATE - 12 JAN 2013We've had the bed for a little over 4 months now and it has continued to perform admirably. I've slept on it a few times and there were no problems with squeaking or shifting despite a combined weight of nearly 400 pounds. It's a great product and I would buy it again.UPDATE - 06 JUN 2013I am still very happy with this frame. I did have to tighten the bolts about a month ago, but that only takes a couple of minutes. I would recommend getting the thickest mattress possible or maybe getting a box spring. This will cause the bed to be extremely tall, but you can avoid feeling the middle bar as the mattress wears down. I am still extremely happy with this purchase and will definitely buy this frame again if the need arises.UPDATE - 23 AUG 2015This frame is still going strong. The bolts do need to be tightened occasionally (which can be a pain if you have as much stuff pushed under the bed as wee do), but it's not so bad. I do recommend using your own wrench. The two small ones that come with it only work for when you're putting it together. They wear down afterwards and will strip the bolts if you persist. I also want to reiterate the need to get a very thick mattress and/or possibly using plywood or something of that nature as a buffer. The metal bar down the middle becomes more and more prominent as the mattress wears down. In spite of that I'm still very pleased with the product and will purchase again in the future. Give it a try, I don't think you will regret it.

Very Sturdy, Easy to Assemble
We were looking for a sturdy frame and really didn't want to have to dish out the cash for a box spring -- pinch pennies where you can, right? Holy heart failure, Batman, I was uber-nervous to buy a bed online... I'm going to thank my lucky stars that this worked out as well as it did!First of all, the metal is steel -- and it's tough. It doesn't bend, and it doesn't budge. Secondly, the springs are very taut. The mattress doesn't sag at all regardless of how much weight is on one side of the bed or the other. I've actually noticed a firmer support from this bed than with previous box springs. Big bonus.Next plus: it's easy to assemble. However, it will definitely take two people. Now, how easy to assemble you might ask? Well, the how-to instructions didn't exactly survive the shipping very well (one downside). They actually looked like they had been at the mercy of a hungry bulldog. We were able to somewhat piece them together, but there was a good bit of guessing, finger-crossing, and praying involved. Fortunately, it was pretty simple to figure out, and we had it together in about thirty minutes. All you need to put it together is an Allen wrench which is included in the box. Just make sure that all of the screws are tight, and the thing won't shake or wobble at all.We have an actual hardwood floor (not laminate), and we haven't had to put anything underneath the legs to prevent scratching. I could see the four interior legs MAYBE scuffing the floor a little, but those would be the only legs that would require cushions. There is ample room for under the bed storage. The only difficulty is the four center legs. To provide complete support, these legs have to be set further inside the bed instead of along the exterior of the frame. Depending on what you are planning to store, this may present a problem. However, for storing smaller boxes or clothing bags, this can be easily maneuvered. We slide our storage items in from the sides of the bed and make sure that they are the roughly the size of a third of the bed. It has actually made it easier for organization... limiting the dimensions of the boxes we can store has kept down the clutter and the junk that inevitably gets shoved under there! It's not the prettiest frame, but a bedskirt easily hides the legs. We laid an old, thin mattress pad between the bedskirt and the springs to prevent any snags on the skirt. It's also quiet! No squeaking or creaking while climbing in or out. Definite plus as I was concerned about noise. This is a great bed especially for the price. Highly recommend!
