Surprisingly Great Sponge — Perfect for Rinseless Washes and Detail Work Without the Premium Price
I have gone through more wash mitts and sponges than I care to admit, and these Saiqiang Grid Car Wash Sponges have earned a permanent spot in my detailing bucket. For anyone who does NLP (No Rinse, Low Pressure) or rinseless washing, this two-pack offers incredible performance for the price. They punch well above their weight class and outperform name-brand options that cost three times as much. Build Quality: Out of the package, the sponges feel dense and well-constructed with a firm yet flexible foam structure. The cross-grid texture is thoughtfully designed — it traps dirt particles away from the paint surface, helping minimize swirl marks during contact washes. The shape makes them easy to grip, and they glide smoothly across panels without dragging or collapsing. Performance in Rinseless Washes: I primarily use these with Optimum No Rinse (ONR), and they excel. The foam absorbs just enough solution to stay lubricated but doesn’t oversaturate. The grid pattern releases dirt easily with a quick rinse in the bucket, keeping the water cleaner longer. They also work exceptionally well for waterless wipe-downs and quick detailing on wheels, bumpers, and door jambs. Durability: Here’s the honest part — they do begin to break down after several months of weekly use. The foam starts to soften and small bits may fray at the edges. That said, for the price, the performance and longevity are more than fair. Even with regular use, they hold up long enough to justify multiple reorders. Comparisons: I’ve used premium brands like The Rag Company and Chemical Guys wash sponges, which are excellent but far pricier. In practice, these Saiqiang sponges clean just as well, release dirt efficiently, and offer 80–90% of the same performance at a fraction of the cost. Pros: Smart grid design reduces marring and holds solution well Excellent for ONR or rinseless washes Comfortable size and easy to rinse clean Fantastic value compared to higher-end detailing sponges Cons: Foam eventually breaks down with frequent weekly use Final Thoughts: For detailers and weekend washers alike, the Saiqiang Grid Sponges are a hidden gem. They make rinseless washing faster, cleaner, and safer for your paint without overcomplicating the process. Affordable, efficient, and easy to use — these are well worth keeping in your detailing arsenal. Highly recommended.

Soft and Easy to Hold
The set of sponges is terrific. The shape makes it very easy to hold they are very soft, so nothing can be scratched. Good value!

Soft foam sponge.. good for rinse less washes, but not very durable.
I use these sponges for rinse less washes like ONR and DIY detail. They are very soft and rinse off well in the bucket, but they are not very durable. They fit well in the hand, and cover lots of area to wipe. If you use a good rinse less wash and rinse off the sponge every wipe, these are very effective to pickup dirt, and you shouldn't see any scratches.

Great size for washing my car
These sponges are a great size and shape. They fit perfectly in my hand and carry enough soap and water to get the job done quickly. The little slits make the face of the sponge into little fingers that conform to the shape of the car body so it works to get into the details. I am sure they would be good for washing other things as well. I was a little sceptical about the price, but seeing how good they are it seems pretty fair. The fact that you get 2 in a box means twice the cleaning power!

Not a fan.
They’re it great, one ripped almost immediately and the other had chunks coming off after only a few uses. It is a softer foam that as long as it’s clean shouldn’t leave any scratches in the paint. It does hold a good amount of water and soap so you’re not constantly having to dunk it in the bucket. The little squares that are cut out in the foam are its downfall, they will hold onto contaminants and are the source of the rips that I’ve seen and the over all shape is awkward to hold and use.

Great Sponges Keep Suds Where They Belong: On Your Car, Not the Driveway
The biggest issue I’ve had with car-washing sponges in the past? Getting them wet, only to have all the soapy water leak out before I could actually get it onto the car. You know the routine: squeeze a dry sponge, dunk it to soak up soapy water, then quickly slap it on the car… only to have most of the suds fling onto the driveway instead. NOT THESE! These sponges soak up just the right amount, and the suds only come out when you squeeze and apply pressure—giving you full control. And wowsers, do they make some suds! The tiny holes produce thousands of microbubbles for a super foamy wash. At first, I was confused by the cuts in the sponge, but they’re genius—they reach every crack and crevice, like around door handles. I have a mini-mini van, that has this top part that runs the length of the car around the sides of the roof and horrendously collects pine needles and leaf debris. This sponge got right down in that crevice and what generally takes me several swipes with a rag was done in two swipes! Bonus-- these make easy work of a grubby chore. I’m thrilled there are two sponges—one for the car body, one for tires—so I don’t risk rubbing dirt back onto my paint. They’re firm enough to remove grit and grime without damaging anything. With two in the pack, the cost seems spot on. I wouldn't want to give fifteen dollars for one sponge, but the quality of these makes me feel like I'll have them a long time. I only wash my car about once a month, but because this really cut down my scrubbing time I'm thinking I might be able to fit it in my schedule to wash it a bit more frequently! The shape makes them easy to hold, and when washing is done, they rinse well and practically look new. I wanted to post an after picture… but of course, it started raining right after I washed my car!
