Specially requested by my nine-year-old for Christmas. He loves it! His favorite of all the Minecraft books he’s read so far. He says, “it’s a really great adventure featuring not only Minecraft, but the real world...I wish it featured less of the real world, just play the dang game.” Haha from the mouth of babes.

We have been reading a few of Minecraft books, however, this book stands out. The story is sad but it is very well written.

I read The Island by Max Brookes to my 5 and 6 year olds and they LOVED it because they both love to play Minecraft. This book is not the same author and really isn’t similar. It starts with a graphic and car crash which is a really heavy subject matter for young kids. We won’t be finishing this book. We ordered “the mountain” also by Max Brookes which is supposed to be the sequel for The Island. I guess we will see! The Crash is better suited for someone 12 and older.

i think it is good though i think that the end is very sad.i mean someone dies. i widh they would tell us hjow he died

My son loves the whole series. Actually got him to start liking to read.

The book is fun and interesting! My kids love it! 9-13 yrs old... they take turns reading it. They all find it interesting and talk about their adventures in the book! Great read!

I bought this book for my son for this Independent Reading assignment. He's been a big fan of Minecraft since he was six but he's never read any of the novels until now. He's very much engrossed in the book and he says he enjoys it a lot. So this is a gamble that definitely paid off!

I really like the book. theres a great balance between action,calmness and happyness. I wish people could rate books 100 stars because that would be me. now I don't usually rate books but when I do, it means I REALLY LIKE THEM!!!!!!!!!
