I received this item on Dec 28, 2018. Soon after I used the dip pen, I noticed that the pen is not very firm & stable. As I write the pen make shift a little.Around 4 days ago, the pen fell apart. I was holding the end of the pen and the front part of the pen, along with my nib dropped on the floor unexpectedly. I am disappointed & not satisfied.I don’t know if I should request Amazon to send a new one to me because I had this pen shipped to me to Canada. I will have to pay for the return shipping myself. Yesterday was I was still using that pen (I just put the end part back to the pen and used it without gluing them together becoz I don’t have glue with me). I got a phone call, and dropped the end part of the pen. I heard it bounced off something and I spent at least 30 mins looking for it but had no luck.I got the Speedball Oblique pen but didn’t like it. Since this company has great customer service, I may get another emerald rose gold wooden calligraphy pen. I will check to see if they have the white one available

So beautiful... To fit all your favorite nibs you may have to carefully remove the brass flange with a pair of needle nose pliers and a cloth. Then, place the nib into the flange and back into the staff. Now the flange will be very tight around the nib. Gently flex the flange up and down to loosen it up

This is my first oblique pen holder and I am having fun with it. I installed a Nikka pen nib and the pen writes smoothly without digging in on the upstrokes. A good combination.Kudos to Alpha Pens.

Lovely pen. Wood looks good, emerald is beautiful. No complaints :)
