A Love Letter to the Golden Age of Comics
A touching, inspiring, nostalgic take on the defining era of Geopolitical history, during and post world war 2. Shows conflicts - internal and external, pain, ambitions, vision, and evolution of many DC comics stalwarts. A masterpiece in every sense of the way, this one turns back the clock and takes the reader to a trip down the memory lane with many real life icons peppered throughout the book. The way superheroes were conceived back then, and how the world war shaped many of the decisions that were taken with regards to them is nicely chronicled. Then there is the artwork. Magnificence beyond anything, every panel is a treat for the eyes. Storytelling is impeccable as well with the chapter "Analog Heroes" a lesson in 1st person narrative storytelling.A must have for every DC fan.Arrived in safe packaging, thanks Amazon.

Darwyn Cookie's Magnum Opus.
Contains complete New Frontier (vol1 and 2). This is not the Black Label edition but the newer Dc reprint. Binding is good a book this thick. Glossy pages, good print. As for the work itself one of the best comics ever made. It's a love letter to comics. A delight to read. If you want to read it the first time or collecting it like me you can go for this. The price is a bit high but it fluctuates so buy when it's reasonable. It's a joy to hold and look at this book.

Good but not the best edition
This comic is a masterclass.. And this edition does the justice to the genius of darwyn cooke. But this is not the best edition. Go for the hardcover delux edition or the absolute edition..
