Water tastes great, awesome flow rates and easy to install
Water tastes great, awesome flow rates and easy to install! The only downside is that it's pretty huge but I knew that going in it would be, so I can't complain.

Flooded our kitchen (and neighbors downstairs). Big problems
I cannot address the quality of the water that this system produces as our installation was never used for its intended purpose. We purchased the EF-3000 system in August for our kitchen remodel project in a high rise building in south Florida (and stored it in the original manufacturer packaging in a safe, climate controlled environment). After a few delays (including a hurricane), my licensed contractor and his licensed plumbing sub-contractor installed the system according to the instructions provided with the items. These guys are true legimate professionals with all of the right training and credentials, licensing, insurance, etc and have many years of experience in their field. They installed our brand new EF-3000 system in my new kitchen sink base cabinet, and at first I was excited. Long Story short: something in either the valve or the canister failed mere hours after install, and water leaked out into our cabinet without us knowing, and it ran overnight. I only learned about the malfunction when the building manager called me at 5:00AM after my downstairs neighbor reported water dripping out of her ceiling. I immediately closed all of the valves upstream from the filter to stop further flooding, and sopped up as much as I could with towels. My contractor and plumber arrived first thing in the morning with a shop-vac, dehumidifiers, and big fans to try to dry everything back out and to minimize further damage. That was almost two weeks ago now, and we have been running all of the drying equipment non-stop ever since. I have been trying to contact warranty support at Pentair, but so far have not received a response. So far my initial $300-ish purchase turned out to be garbage, and has caused perhaps several thousand dollars of damage to my unit and my neighbor's unit.Obviously this is a very bad situation. Perhaps we were just unlucky and got a fluke faulty system, but as of right now with no support from the vendor, we are looking at a massive, massive expense/ possible legal exposure. I would not recommend this product to anyone, no matter how much you want what is probably a very nice water filter in your home/business. If you choose to go ahead anyway, buyer beware. I recommend putting a bucket and some kind of flood alarm system under the thing after it is installed so that you can avoid bigger problems if you also get a dud.Good luck!

Water pressure is greatly reduced
Bought two of these or different sinks. Got one installed and noted the reduction of water pressure to least possible pressure that would be acceptable. so, I'll live with that one and return the other one. Would not buy this again.

Cheaply made plastic fittings
I am not sure why they don’t use brass fittings for the extra few dollars it would cost them. The plastic would not seal with the thread tape. Lousy experience. Don’t waste your time on this product until they improve the design.

Great filter
Water tastes great. Easy to switch filters. No more buying bottled water at the store. Try this - pour a glass of water when you go to bed, and then taste it when you get up in the morning. With this filter, water tastes exactly as it does when it is first poured into the glass.

After 3 months use, the water flow is very small. We have installed another whole house 3M filter(50 micron) before water flow into this one, didn't expect this only last for 3 months.
