Very precise quality cast, don’t be afraid to try this repair yourself it’s not difficult at all. I can usually break a ball bearing but wasn’t prepared to pay 2 hrs labour for a job there are so many self help videos on.The casting fits straight in I’ve seen reviews from others that have needed to dremel barbs off or slightly reshape the cheaper items but it’s definitely not necessary with this brand.I would have given 5 stars but there is a small piece that moves and is secured by a push on slider to hold a spring this seems a little loose I tried to pull it but it didn’t move but it does look like a pivotal point so time will tell.I have purchased thru amazon to make sure in 12 months if it does break I have not got the messing about I’d have with 3rd party sellers

These are infinitely better than the cheap copies which are only slightly cheaper, ordered from Amazon themselves to make sure I got an original.Here is the tip, after seeing another review saying that the connector on the end of the cable which goes on to the door release mechanism was not the tightest fit, I put a thin piece of plastic over the ball and pushed it on, 2 days later it came off.If i hadn't have read that review, i would have looked at the connector to realise it has a snap ring built in, when you fit this and it feels like it is on reasonably well, keep squeezing until you feel a very solid thud, that has officially just grabbed on properly, evidently as it took some serious pulling to get it back off to reposition the cable above in to the clip so do that first!It's also not some cheap casting, this is a quality part and worth the small extra cost.

Honestly , I recommend this febi bracket to anyone!!! I have installed this one at it absolutely prefect fit, very easy to oped the door . Compared to other 10 cheaper it's absolutely winner ! I would not recommend you try to save some money with other cheaper (20-25£) because they will be rubbish , trust me , I had one for 25 pound at it last me for just few months, also with cheaper one you have to pull door handle VERY hard to open the door , with Febi very

At a fraction of the cost of the original part from BMW, this is great value. I previously bought a very cheap (and vastly inferior item) that just didn't fit or work properly. This was easy to fit and works perfectly. Pro's say Febi Bilstein is their choice for parts and I can see why. I'll be buying their parts again when the time comes.

I should have bought this version the first time around, the cheaper replacement I bought broke after just over 12 months! The difference in quality is embarrassing, the original replacement never worked that well and was always required pulling hard to open, the Febi Bilstein just feels quality, works perfectly and fit exactly.Penny wise and pound stupid comes to mind.

This item fits perfectly even is few pounds more expansive than other ones.I had a cheaper no-name one installed and never worked properly. My wife was struggling to open the door.With this item all problems were fixed and the door works as new therefore, worth it few pounds extra.
