SimaVideo Switch

Great product. This did exactly what I wanted it to do. I was able to get all my electronics set up to my tv. I needed to find a way to limit the number of cables that ran to my tv from my media center because it was mounted on the wall about 10ft away, and with this I was able to connect everything and send it all through just one cable to the tv. Worked great up until it just died on me around 2 months later. The seller was not help full at all and after reaching the manager I was finally able to return it. except I had to pay the return shipping...

I have a fairly advanced AV set up and wanted to simplify my connections, especially since i had a limited number of in wall HDMI and component video connections. In theory, this product was great - you connect all your components to it (we had an XBox, Wii, PS3, cable box, Apple TV) and you have two connections coming out of it (one HDMI and one component video) to the TV. Another great feature is that you would have one audio output going to your stereo, so all of these components would be available in surround sound. This product worked as described for about 3 days, then the audio started cutting in and out. The quick fix was turn it on/off and the audio was restored. Then all of a sudden it wouldn't turn on unless you turned it off/on. Now the standby light doesn't even turn on and if it does, you can't turn the unit on. I don't know if this bad luck or a bad unit, but I had a terrible experience with this and had to return it.

I bought this product because I have many pieces of equipment (Hd Projector, Hd TV, Laptop, PC, Surround Sound, XBox 360, Wii, Blue Ray, etc.) spread out all over the room and I didn't want 100 different wires to go to 100 different things in my room. I have tried products like this before but I have had many problems such as, Bad Picture, Not enough inputs/outputs, Bad Sound, didn't have the right type of hook up, etc. But this product is awesome! It has every kind of hookup you need not to mention several output sources so I dont have to rewire things that often if i wanted to play something on a different device. It labels everything extremely well so if I need to take something out I dont have to trace the cable back to its original source to find out which one it goes to.I strongly recommend this product!

Had this product for a few days. Worked fine then suddenly died horribly. It wouldnt turn of for anything.

Purchased unit new from authorized e-tailer in May 2010. Unit operated w/o problems for about six months then stopped automatically switching inputs. Since then, it has progressively become less functional and is now almost completely useless: no longer responds to remote control, buttons on front of unit (including on-off switch) no longer function. I tried contacted customer support by email: still waiting for response. I guess the fact that the unit only has a 90 day warranty should have been a tip-off that it was not well built.
