Stencil Ease Stencil Adhesive Spray – Repositionable, Low-Tack Temporary Hold for Stencils & Templates, Clean Removal on Walls, Wood, Glass, Paper & Crafts (4.4oz)

I wasn't sure what to expect with this adhesive spray, I needed to attach some stencils to canvas boards and remove them cleanly when finished and it certainly works very well for that and leaves no residue. I also used it on two surfaces, then pressed together for a non-removable seal and that also worked quite well for non-porous and porous surfaces. Easy clean up, the instructions say clean up with baby oil but dish soap or degreasing cleaning spray worked fine on areas I got a little over spray on my counter. Dries quickly and was very easy to clean up and remove. It does have a strong smell but that is normal for such things. I used in a well ventilated area and was fine. This stuff is basically an aerosol of rubber cement and acts exactly/smells exactly like it.

I’ve gone through two cans of this now, used more or less exclusively to spray on the backs of sandpaper in my shop, when attaching it to odd sanding forms. There’s a small learning curve to get the most out of it, but I like that it sticks when you want it to and peels off easily when you want to change the sandpaper, without leaving a residue. If you leave it on too long (weeks!) it will leave some residue, but that is easily removed with mineral spirits. I have no complaints.

I have been using this product for 2 years now. It works very well with stencils. However I am getting angry every time I go to reorder the price has gone up. I started paying 11.99 and now it's up to 15.99 for 4 oz!! That's ridiculous! I have reordered 12 times so I use a lot. I'm going to start looking for another brand.

I’m just starting to stencil on fabric and there’s a lot of pitfalls. but keeping the stencil in place is crucial and this adhesive worked for me. I sprayed it in and waited 3-5 minutes and then laid it flat. I’m still experimenting with the best paints. The photos are test bags using this adhesive.

I don't agree with the negative comments regarding clean-up. The adhesive does not wash off with soap and water, but it came off easily with a little Goo Gone. Note that I did not let the stencil sit for hours or days, I cleaned it up immediately after finishing the project. Crisp lines in spite of my impatience.

Works great for adhering the stencils and sharp edges with no bleed through.

I want a fan and felt this didn’t really provide any help and is hard to spray inside a small room (and smells). Maybe it has a purpose but I wouldn’t recommend it for stenciling floor.

I tested the two topped rated products for stenciling adhesive. I did my testing side by side and this one was the winner. It was the best because it held on to the acrylic paint surface. It was the best one because it could be removed and repositioned a lot better than the other top rated spray can. I expected the other product to do better because it has a slightly higher rating. But for my case this one is the winner. The stencil I was using was made from freezer paper. It worked beautifully when sprayed on the glossy plastic side. After removing the stencil and storing it in the safe place, I was able to use it 24 hours later and it still held to the surface. I love this product.
