Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid: Kanna's Daily Life Vol. 3 (Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid: Kanna's Daily Life, 3)

Of ghosts and fireflies
Kanna's Daily Life continues to be a great spinoff series. As always, we are given very nice slice of life stories about Kanna and her friends and family. Kanna wants to help with the laundry, but certain problems crop up, such as Tohru declaring her monopoly on cleaning Miss Kobayashi's undergarments (I suppose Kanna will understand when she's older). It's summer vacation and Kanna and Saikawa have a number of activities. There is a Japanese holiday, Tanabata, to celebrate. The family decides to tell ghost stories, but Miss Kobayashi doesn't get dragon horror and Kanna and Tohru can't figure out what is so scary about her tale. Then, Kanna tries her hand at a ghost story, with unexpected effect. There is also a nice tale about fireflies (lightning bugs, as I used to call them) and it occurred to me that I haven't seen a firefly in years. Altogether, another fine volume and fans of the two Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid series will not be disappointed.

Excellent Content but Someone Dropped the Ball on the Kindle Version
This is one of my favorite currently running manga series and I opened it up to read it again on my Fire, but the progression is all weird. I double checked the rest of the series and volume three seems to be the only one that’s backwards. It’s been some time since I last read it so I don’t know if it downloaded to my new kindle wrong or if someone dropped the ball. It’s readable but if you’re expecting to read it like a normal manga, you’ll have to adjust your thinking. Layout is fine but the progression moves from left to right and not the normal right to left. Otherwise a five star book.

This manga is growing on me.
I'm starting to enjoy this more. A lot of stories start off slow, for several reasons - the author hadn't found their muse yet, the title was originally a one-shot or mini-series, or just because. Regardless, it's always a good idea to check out the 2nd volume of a manga that you weren't particularly impressed with. It often times takes the author time to get up to steam, & fully set the templates for the story & characters. Art, rough yet good. Dialogue, kind of silly, but good. Characters, likeable, & some adorable.

I love this series
I love this series! I got hooked on the anime, then needed more to fill the void once I had seen all the episodes. It's quite interesting to see the differences between the two. Looking forward to the next volume.
