Perfect for braising
Be warned, it didn't come sliced into smaller pieces as in the picture and it was next to impossible to find the vertebrae points to cut it apart myself. But at this weight most large pots or dutch ovens should hold the meat in one piece to braise without any problems (my medium pot held it just fine, and my large pot is only of fairly average size), and it's also less fuss than chopping it up anyway. It still cooked through beautifully despite being in one piece, and I had melting falling off the bone delicious ragu after a three hour simmer, which is about the same timeframe I'd expect from smaller pieces.

Delicious
I struggled to find it in the supermarkets and I was very pleased to find it here. It was delicious, perfect for making the sauce for the pasta.

Just awful - Gave it one star because at least it wasn't rancid
Shockingly bad - Had a huge piece of what I could swear was spine, not tail. It was hand wrapped in fat (that fell off during browning) to dress up the item as something it was not. Butchering was amateur - small bone shards were embedded in what meat there was - Most of it was gristle - That is, what wasn't bone. Oh, not sure how it managed this, but the meat-gristle managed to stay Tough after 45 mins in the Pressure Cooker - How?? Avoid like the plague, an embarrassment to Amazon stocking this at all.

So so
It is not sliced as shown in the picture, it comes in large pieces. It would be better if it was sliced. this also improves the cooking quality

Lovely oxtail at a good price
I do like this oxtail but they should cut them up into pieces or have it diced as it is hard to cook the way it is sold.
