I do a certain amount of plan drawing by hand still and scaling off of architectural drawings for detailed, custom timber frame construction all of the time. This scale has the fine, clear markings needed to read drawings accurately and it seems like it will hold up well on the work bench where the occasional tool gets set on it. The bonus ruler that comes in the box is of the same fine quality with good design. It has gradations down to 32nds for three inches, to 64ths for one inch and 16ths for the remainder of the scale. It is good design allowing for fine scaling where needed that doesn't clutter up the entire scale with fine markings. The metric side of the rule is similarly marked. I expected little from the bonus item but this will get a lot of use in my shop.

I’m not an architect but I needed a really good hard wearing ruler. This one looked great and I went ahead and purchased. For the money I paid this was a great buy and the speed of delivery and customer service made it all the better. Very happy.

I got this as a gift for my girlfriend who is an interior designer. She loves the color (which I wasn't able to find anywhere else) and the added ruler was an awesome bonus.

I like the legibility of the numbers and the precision of the markings. You can also easily leave marks on the ruler and remove them. Unfortunately, when I went to use it for some drafting I realized that the triangular ruler was warped. It won't sit flat on a table which makes it difficult to use as a straight edge to make lines because there is less friction to keep it in place. It has been very annoying to use. There was also a dent on one edge when I received it, which again, is annoyance when I'm trying to make a straight line.

These are beautiful! Etching is a must! My husband tells me once a week how much he likes these! Yes- I would recommend!

These are very sturdy rulers, just what she needed for geometry. She loved the cool color. Recommended.
