Ledger Nano S - 2 Pack - The Best Crypto Hardware Wallet - Secure and Manage Your Bitcoin, Ethereum, ERC20 and Many Other Coins

Once again, a cryptocurrency device on Amazon has been subject to negative reviews due to ignorance. I'll keep this short. I work in this realm and I can tell you that people who know crypto use this wallet. I'm not saying that nobody uses Trezors or Keepkeys or what have you. Just that in my experience, this is the go-to for a secure hardware solution. And a secure hardware solution is the ONLY solution, really.If you have a substantial investment into one of the myriad supported coins out there, you're doing yourself a disservice if you let an exchange hold (and thus control) your nest egg instead of keeping them safe with a hardware wallet. You're also exposing yourself to far more attack vectors if you use an online wallet on your phone or pc. This device is so secure, you could literally plug it into a malware infested computer and use it safely just as you normally would. That's the nature of these wallets, your private key is securely stored and never exposed.This Ledger Nano combined with a Cryptosteel backup (and a bit of know-how) are all you need to create a veritable crypto fortress. No matter HOW you store your backup seed (and please, people....DO safely store copies of that 24-word seed!!!), this wallet is a great value. Even with the recent price mark-up.

Worked as expected. I took a star off because I found only having the two buttons made it kind of difficult to use; although you shouldn't have to use this a whole lot if using for cold storage. I found the UI kind of freezes up sometimes when the application on your computer is working with the device.

Very easy to use and understand after watching youtube videos. I got the S because it also supports Ether on same device. So both of mine have all of my BTC and Ether, and are clones. Install one and then recover the other to make a clone.

Crypto is a time consuming adventure and wondering if it was really worth it, HOPEFULLY

Forget about quick support for this product!! It should be super easy to set up, but it was not for me (and apparently many others). I am on a Windows OS (which should not matter, but I mention it anyway). The software is not on the device so you need to download it. That's where all my problems started. I set up the Nano S "offline": I plugged it into a USB port and then did the device setup with my PIN and then wrote down all the recovery words. Then I installed the software when I realized that this thing is useless without the software on the computer. Then the software would not recognize device repeatedly. Then it WOULD recognize the device at first, but then fail to verify the device repeatedly. Issues went on and on. Finally got to the point of wanted to transfer a little Bitcoin but no way to do that without an "app" install. Again, more failures, but finally succeeded.Keep in mind that I am very familiar with computers and equipment, and I was just trying to leave the device plugged into the USB port without touching it. I ended needing to re-enter my PIN about 15 or 20 times because I had to keep unplugging it to try to get it recognized.By the time I finished two "app" installs, it was almost 2 hours later!!! What a horrible setup process. What a terrible implementation. I do NOT understand how so many sites claim this to be their favorite. What a pain.Because of repeated disconnections and the inability to simply add a third "app" for XRP, I am afraid to transfer ANYTHING to this device because I have little trust that it will be a reliable product.Oh, I forgot about one other thing I discovered: if you need to do a firmware upgrade, you first have to *remove* all of the coin apps!!! How lame!! So, imagine that you put coins on here, you need to do a firmware upgrade, and you realize you need to remove the apps that support your coins. WTF do you do??? It all seems needlessly complicated/convoluted, very similar to the early days of cryptocurrencies, when you needed to have a group of people to figure out how to get it and store it.I don't have experience with any other hardware wallet, but I feel like I bought something that I don't trust to use as intended.

Love the product and works as advertised! So far no problems with it!

What I expected

Package arrived in what looks like homemade plastic wrap. Opened it up to see if maybe there was a tamper proof seal inside to see there is not. The wires underneath look to be hand bundled (not perfect machine coils) and have minor scuffs on them (benefit of the doubt, could happen from jiggling inside box).No way am I putting money on this thing!
