Being a Dad Who Leads

This book is awesome! A must have for all. So full of valuable info! Someone gave us one and we liked it so much that we bought one for all of our sons and sons-in-law.

A good book for parenting advice from a Christian perspective! The author doesn’t try to solve every problem or cover every aspect of fatherhood, but provides high level goals to strive for.

John MacArthur does a great job of keeping a heavy topic simple. This book will challenge and exhort you as a father to live in relationship with God as an example for ones children and as the lifeblood of leading a family. I could do with a few more examples of "how to" but for the sake of time I understand the absence of drawing out examples for each point. This book is short and sweet and worth the read.

I chose a five star rating for this book becuase I enjoyed how it takes scripture, breaks it down in laymen's terms and explains how to implement it into my relationship with my wife and children. The book is full of useful nuggets for any man who wishes to know how to love his wife as Christ loves the church and seeks a strategy for rising to the challenge of being a godly father/dad to his precious gift of children.

Excellent book. After reading it I decided to make a standard practice of giving a copy to every new father that I know. I ordered this book because I just became a father and I wanted direction from the bible on doing it God's way I was not prepared for what I was about to read . The author made it clear that in order to be a good father one must be a good husband. This book challenged me to make improvements all around and helped me to see things God's way.

MacArthur captures the essence of being a father. To lead well means to point to Jesus. In everything. With everyone.

Pastor Macarthur describes succinctly but beautifully the biblical role of the father. He goes to the Word of God to base his assertions and are very well expounded. We don't need human wisdom to find answers to the questions raised when parenting. The Word of God gives us all we need. A great book to help parents, especially fathers, to raise a family in a godly manner.

Outstanding message that every father and husband should read

A great reminder of a husband's/dad's responsibilities before God with much practical advise - that should be followed. To the one who reads and heeds, the outcome will be blessings to your wife, children and yourself to the glory of God.

Well explained, in normal english, easy to understand, correctly handled the Biblical passages. It is one of a beautiful book from doctor John Macarthur.

Very good and short book easy to read. Very worth it. Every Christian dad should read this.
