Beautybatik Women Hand Blocked Batik Rayon Caftan Kaftan Loungewear Maxi Plus Size Long Dress XL to 4X

I purchased this rayon batik caftan not knowing if it would be a cheap, lightweight fabric or if it would be thick enough to wear without showing through. I took a photo of the actual fabric because in this listing, it almost looks shiny like a polyester caftan. It's not shiny at all in real life. I am happy to announce that the fabric is very pretty, medium weight rayon and is not a bit see through. I'm 73 and sometimes I just don't feel like getting dressed in my jeans and shirt. So I just slip on this caftan and I'm covered and comfortable. I'm 5'7" and it's ankle length. The only discrepancy I see is that there is an option to choose 3x or 4x and actually, it's the same size so it won't matter which one you select. I also think the sizing in inches isn't truly accurate. I ordered the 4x even though I wear size 16W-18W jeans and a 2X top. I wanted it to be big and roomy. It definitely fits great but the measurements on the listing show 4X as 70" for bust and hips. It's not big on me so if you're my size, I'd order the 3 or 4x. The tag shows to hand wash and line dry. I have other rayon caftans that I machine wash in cold and then put in the dryer and they're fine. I'm hoping this one can be washed the same because I'm not going to hand wash it or line dry it. All in all, it's a very nice caftan, not see through and the colors are quite pretty. I'm going to order another in black after I wash this one to make sure it can be machine washed. ** Edit... I've bought my second rayon caftan from this seller and I'm just as happy with it as I am with my first one. This one is a black background with turquoise dragonfly figures on it. It's the same medium weight rayon and it's beautiful and the 3/4x fits well. I've washed my first one in the washer in cold water and put it through the dryer. I'm very happy to announce that it washed perfectly in the washer and dried fine in my dryer. There was no shrinkage and the colors didn't run or fade. Excellent product and I recommend!

This is a lovely lounge (or wear out) dress for hot weather. I bought 3 or 4 colors, true to size. soft rayon fabric, did not shrink or fade washed in cold water and colors and print are beautiful. Love! Also dry on low and fabric will soften and come out wrinkle free. once again LOVE! AND thanks to the manufacturer for making a quality garment, unlike most of the imported clothing we get on Amazon.

While the fabric design I bought eight years ago is no longer available, if everything else is still the same (fabric type and weight) then I highly recommend this product. I have worn it a lot in the past eight years and it washes up nicely, the colors are still rich, and I still get compliments on it. It’s comfortable, it breathes (unlike the hideous microfiber everything seems to be made of now), and it is not see-through. It gets a lot of use and does not look worn. I’ve put it on over my bathing suit after water cardio and it has not faded one bit. I’m 5’3” and it falls just above the floor.

Regretfully, I had to return this. The fabric was not as expected. Though it fit, the texture of the fabric makes it difficult to remove. It was like pulling a bedsheet off.

This caftan is much nicer than I expected it to be. The material is good quality rayon. It drapes nicely and isn't transparent or flimsy. It feels substantial but I think it will be fine even in hotter weather, because of the way it's constructed. The batik pattern is pretty and the colors aren't too garish or strong. I like the fringe detail at the bottom. It makes it more interesting. Although it's loose fitting, it's still flattering because it drapes against the body in a good way, not clinging, but not like a tent, either. I wouldn't wear it out in public because that's not my style, but I really like it for around the house and for poolside lounging.

The only disappointment is the size. I ordered a 2x. The invoice says 2x, however the tag on the inside of the neck and the tag attached on the outside of the garment did NOT include a size. The garment fits however going by the size chart, it's not as roomy as it should have been for the size I ordered! A let down!!!

The black and white pattern is cute, but the material is more stiff than 3 others I purchased on Amazon. Due to my walking disability, I cut 7" off the bottom before I wear it (and don't hem). I have one more kaftan to cut off the hem. I walk with a cane or walker.

I am a size 20 and this has plenty of room. I prefer Rayon fabric or a cotton blend. This is rayon an feels more like cotton. It is not see through. I am very happy with this lounger.

i have 2 of these now. the fabric is good quality, cool and comfortable. the batiking looks lovely, and the garments wash up well. i use the gentle cycle in the washer and hang to dry. very pleased with these kaftans.

I really love the material, how comfy it is and I ordered already a second one. It is not cheap and it's not coming in my size that's why I had to order bigger sizes but I love it !
