Waterproof and Versatile
Just got to try this for it's waterproof qualities in a massive downpour for half an hour while walking the dog, everything under the poncho was bone dry when I got back home, very impressed, bottom of my legs on the other hand were soaking, may have to think more about the bottom half of my body in future.Have also used this with the mil-Tec poncho liner for a night out a few days ago, not sure if the poncho will stand up to much use when lying on the ground but so far it has worked for me and I was cosy enough, not sure if the combo will be good enough for any thing but summer use mind.I have also set it up as a lean-to and a plough point shelters which was easy enough with the amply supply of the rings and a bit of para-cord.My one downside is the poppers do not seem to hold very well, of course you don't want them to be too tough to undo but I would prefer them to be a little tighter.Overall, pleased with my purchase I am, would I buy again, yes.

Keeps you mostly dry.
Keeps you mostly dry. The seams that attach the hood to the 'body' are not sealed, (they are taped, but not sealed), and so let water in over time. I'd recommend using seam sealer to fix this. Highly recommend having a cap, (baseball cap), to wear under the hood. That will help you see, but also keep dry. The only 'gripe' I would have with it, is as a larger man, the top poppers are too close together for my arms to go through gaps, so I have to use the second gap down, which lifts the poncho up more than I'd like when I use it. .. Other than that, it's awesome!

Recommended.
I live in a humid climate where a rain jacket would make one sweat.I have two of these. One navy, one camo. In heavy rain much more air flow than a jacket. Very good quality. Pleased with them. Recommended. The first thing I did with both of them on arrival was to seam seal the stitching around the zip and at the front where the waist drawstring is attached. I did this because I have previously read that some owners had experienced some water ingress at those points. It was just a precaution on my part. I have not had any leakage problems. I use one on my motor scooter, and the other for walking. Pack up fairly small, and can even be used as an emergency tarp shelter for those that hike. Though you will need some string ot paracord.Be aware. Unless wearing rain pants, your trousers will get wet from the water running off the poncho. Not a problem for me as I am mostly in shorts.

Good poncho for a reasonable price!
Can’t speak for its ability to protect you in very heavy rain, but certainly, this did its job during light to moderate rain. Happy days! Also, somewhat obviously, it’s absolutely usable as a lightweight tarp - in our case we used this to wrap up boots and other kit, to keep them dry overnight, when the rain really kicked off. Nice utility.Fit size? I’m six foot with an athletic build, and it fit really well.Happy with this item!

Excellent lightweight weather protection
Versatile weather protection. Lightweight, easy to carry in rucksack.I wanted this principally as rain protection, so light weight was more important to me. Versatility as a tarp or groundsheet is a bonus, but may need to exercise more care to avoid damage to the lighter material, although it is a ripstop nylon. Quick to put on for protection against a short shower or prolonged rainfall. Open sides allow free movement and ventilation to mitigate against condensation on underside. Altogether, well pleased with product and just what I wanted!

Brilliant
Used ponchos for years, my old military one I gave to a lad starting out in bushcraft and regretted it, so I had bought a cheapie a mistake and bought this, I wish I’d had this when I served in the army lightweight and packs small, time will tell how robust but looks sound.

Lifesaver!
Took this poncho on a very rainy hike. I was the only one with a poncho, my friends brought fancy waterproof jackets. I was the only one who stayed dry! The sleeves are a bit too short so your arms are probably get wet in heavy rain, but you can tuck them in to prevent that somewhat. But it kept the rest of my clothes (except from my knees down, which is to be expected) perfectly dry! It's quite durable, too. Didn't have any issues with it, definitely recommend.

Heavy duty, but not heavy.
Had this recommended by ex forces pathfinder instructor and can tell it is mil-spec quality. Will be very useful as both a durable poncho and shelter system. Really look forward to using it.
