Needed to trim my back door frame to mount a storm door,Needed a half inch and this bit did the job perfectly!

Worked as expected, milled about 1000 feet of redwood boards (all in one pass, full depth). Happy with it. Arrived on time.

Bought this large bit for my handheld Bosch router needed to rabbet 3/4"x1/2" on plywood for cabinet boxes. I first stepped down the cut with a 1/2"x1/2" and the bit worked great at about 18,000 rpm's. The box states that this bit is for "router table use only" so don't try and take a deep rabbet in one pass make several passes by stepping down the depth and it will work fine on a handheld.

Yonico's 14705 Rabbet Router Bit with 6 Bearings is a quality bit for a reasonable price.The bit arrived within five working days of placing my order. The box was well protected in the shipping box.The bit itself, as well as the accompanying holder for the additional bearings were in perfect condition. The bits' cutting surfaces and edges were pristine and sharp. Both the bit and the holder for the additional bearings remained snug in their plastic bit holders. The wooden box, however, was an oddity. Based on other boxes I have purchased from Yonico, I was not expecting a piece of woodworking art; they are basic boxes that successfully do their job of holding and protecting the bits. However, I was surprised by the fact that the latch was installed upside-down. That in itself is not a big deal as I can remove and re-install the latch in seconds. I was surprised to see two additional screw holes in the lid to the left of the latch. It appears as if a worker at the factory started to install a hinge, split the wood (picture attached) and simply installed the hinges on the other side while then subsequently installing the latch (upside down) next to the aborted hinge installation.While I normally rate Yonico bits very high, this particular review gets one star off for quality control...or lack thereof.The bits is about 1 3/8-inches in diameter, so I ran my Bosch 1617EVS mounted in a Bosch RA1171 table at about 22,000 RPM. I ran some test cuts on white pine using three different bearings. All of the cuts were clean (use a backing block to prevent tear-out) and the bearings spun freely and smoothly.I have purchased many Yonico router bits, including the Yonico 17702 70 Bits Set, Yonico 13171 Round Over Edging Router Bit, Yonico 14522 5 Bit Straight/Dado Router Bit Set and many others. All of these bits perform well, cut cleanly and hold up to medium-term usage. Properly set up, used, maintained and stored, Yonico bits are an excellent bargain.

Make a 5/8 inch rabbit on a half circle window trim piece.

First use was on oak and it easily made clean cuts

Pros - price, versatility. Cons - a big bit, don’t use above 18k rpm or in a 3/4 HP hand held router.

Used this one cutter to turn enough pallet wood into shiplap to build a 6'x6' shed and it's still super sharp

First time using a bearing guided cutter. Easy to use and leaves an excellent finished rebate.
