Catskill Craftsmen Single Drop Leaf Kitchen Basket Cart

My wife an I were wondering about its quality but were pleasantly surprised when we saw the wood. The top shelf came slightly warped (as th instructions said might happened). We put some weights on it and left out for a couple nights, that flattened it quite a bit, not perfect; but once we put it together it looked great.Definitely helpful to use their video while following the instructions. Listen to the whole section first on the video then do the step. When putting on the slide supports for the basketes I didn't listen to the whole thing - thus some rails got slightly split. Then played the video and the man said, don't tighten down fully or you may split the rails.Had a slight problem putting the bottom shelf in. The bottom panels didn't mount flush so the shelf wouldn't fit. Had to twist them some,wedge in the shelf so it fit between the panels, then use hammer to tap shelf into position. Cart looks great, feels sturdy.The side shelf isstrong but I wouldn't have anything too heavy on it, nor let the grand kids hang off of it. We have out coffee maker part on side shelf and part on main shelf so as to not overload side shelf. It could probably handle it but just don't want to see it warp over time. Overall very pleaseed!

Before purchasing, I read all of the reviews and was prepaired to have a very difficult time putting it together. Parts of the instructions were a little ambiguous. They were a little challenging to follow, but not impossible.The evening it was delivered, I made sure that I had all of the parts. I used masking tape to lable them. On one of the baskets the chrome coating was peeling off, and one of the brace boards had a crack that was more than a cosmetic issue. I called the company and they redelivered those items right away. The person who took care of it was very professional and courteous.Putting the cart together was somewhat challenging but somehow I managed. It is a very nice cart and sturdy, as well. My only issue with this product are the baskets. Two of them broke in the same place. The arm of the basket that slides into the wooden slots, broke where it connects to the main body of the basket. Since I had four to begin with, three plus the replacement, I decided to use two and use the bottom shelf as storage.

Just what I wanted. Perfect for my narrow kitchen. It is very sturdy and love the baskets! There are a lot of parts and it was pretty heavy but I was able to drag it into the house (I'm a 64 year old with arthritis). It took a couple of hours to put together, but was able to do it alone with the exception of putting the final pieces on that connected the two sides together. Probably could be done by one person but was much easier with two. The only tricky part is the barrel nut connectors..they have to be just right for the pieces to come together tightly. Do as the directions state and wait a week or so before putting the caps in place, you will need to tighten the screws in the legs. Great quality at reasonable price!

This product far exceeded my expectations and is absolutely perfect in our kitchen. This is not cheap pressboard/wood (Sauder) but beautifully selected hardwoods. A "little" bit of a learning curve putting it together, but that's more to do with me and my skills than the product. We could not be happier and would recommend it and this company in anyone. AND...it's made in America!

Attactive, sturdy cart that should last many years but the directions to assemble are confusing. My only complaint is that it would have made the whole process much easier to assemble if they would have put the part letter on the pieces of wood. A, B, C etc. and Left and Right L & R. either by stamp or little stickers. Don't know if it was an oversight by the manufacturer or if you are just supposed to guess. I will be contacting the manufacturer to suggest better identification of individual parts. This little cabinet took the better part of a Saturday to complete, it could have been made a lot easier by the manufacturer.

This was heavy! Beautiful wood, I would give it 5 stars if the assembly instructions has been more helpful, such as letting you know which way was up or down, left or right. In otherwise, labeling the peices. It took my husband 4 or 5 hours to assemble and he is very capable. I would not have attempted it by myself. But in the end, we have a beautiful kitchen cart that is perfect.

Just what I was looking for. There were no problems assembling, though did take my husband almost 2 hours. This cart has lots of work space and storage, which I use daily. The pull out baskets are deep and hold a lot. Fine grade sanding (I used 220) & oiling a must, otherwise the wood is quite rough.

The craftmanship is fabulous and it is made of solid wood. The instructions were clear but there one method of joining the joints that was utterly confusing UNTIL you watched the video they supply online to explain this.They also have videos online that will walk you through building the entire cart. It does take a while to put together but is solid.
