Bose Bass Module 500

I bought this to enhance my Bose Soundbar 500 speaker. Connected to power and with the 3.5mm audio lead and worked out of the box. Didn’t need Bluetooth and the bass module was immediately accessible through the app with separate volume. As you would expect of Bose the sound quality and bass is first class and watching movies is now amazing. Whilst not cheap Bose is worth every penny and their sound always exceptional!

Soundbars often struggle to deliver deep bass, but modern Bose soundbars offer impressive sound quality with crystal-clear mids and highs. However, they still miss those rich low notes. The solution? A bass module. The more affordable Bose Bass Module 500 is the perfect complement to enhance your soundbar’s performance. Here in the UK, where homes tend to be among the smallest in the world, this compact subwoofer is all you need for a smaller British living room like mine. If you have a larger space, though, the Bass Module 700 might be a better fit. As with all Bose products, there are some caveats. It’s proprietary and designed to work exclusively with a specific range of Bose products—but in return, you get seamless integration and ease of use. I’m absolutely thrilled with it!

I have a Bose TV speaker. It does have a decent amount of bass on its own but I wanted a bit more immersion when watching movies. I bought this in the Black Friday sales and I’m glad I did. Plugged it straight into the speaker (I already had the Bose cable) and to the power. It came straight on into standby and when I turned the TV on which the fired up the TV Speaker it came on with it so no setup required. I started up a movie (new avatar then followed up by blade runner 2049) and the bass was awesome. It has really added that immersion into movies. I have it setup behind the TV so it’s out the way and it’s the perfect place for it. I am in a detached house so don’t need to worry about neighbours but if you do have neighbours close by then be warned, it is loud!

I recently treated myself to the Bose smart 600 soundbar for my Samsung tv. Absolutely fabulous but lacking slightly in bass for music & special effects in movies. Then the sub woofer arrives & now i feel sorry for my neighbours on movie nights . Very easy to set up i just plugged it in & it more or less set itself up on my network. You use the Bose music app to add it to your other gadgets and wow, the sounds is magnificent. It produces some chest thumping bass. I winced abit at the price but the quality is well worth it. Fabulous

I bought this to compliment / beef out the sound from the Bose TV speaker. Frustratingly i've been searching for a decent Soundbar for my living room TV for ages. I have a fairly specific TV unit and a fairly perfect space which is 64cm wide for a Soundbar of some description to live in without cluttering up the surfaces. More about that in my BOSE TV speaker review! Anyway - regarding this product - I mean yes, BOSE are well known for their beautifully punctuated velvety deep bass tones so it was always going to be a total winner. It really, really, really, really, really adds depth to the sounds that come out of the telly. Deep rumbles in TV Dramas, pumping beautiful bass when listening to music. Complete and utter game changer. I think, as part of a set this is an amazing addition, however with the set up I have, you'd really need some surround speakers too, to feel immersed in the sound. Never the less, it is a 1000000% improvement on my 3 year old Samsung 42" TV which was flat and tinny at best being a flatscreen. The only downside with the set up I have is that (as far as I can tell) you need to have an AUX connecting the Bose TV Speaker to the Bass Module 500 which limits the distance you can place the two from eachother without noticing a trailing wire between them etc. This means, my Bass 500 unit is currently placed behind my TV (which is on a stand) and although not a nightmare, it is fairly big and bulky (25cm cube). Something to bare in mind! As far as I can tell, if you have the other (longer width and more expensive) soundbars from BOSE you can link them to the BASS 500 wirelessly and it's only the TV Speaker that requires a wired connection. I'm making a BIG DEAL out of that point as I wasn't aware until I read a very small sentence on the Bose website. It wasn't really clear in any of the product manuals that came in the boxes. Overall - Delighted with this. Buy. Buy. Buy!

I bought the ultra sound bar which sounds great on its own, but coupled to the 500 bass module it’s a whole new level of detail. I really wanted the 700 bass module, but didn’t have the space available where I wanted it to go, so took the risk (and 30 day no quibble return) and opted for the 500 bass module. I’m not disappointed, this thing is awesome, the whole house rocks. Despite is smaller size, it really packs a punch. It’s quite expensive for what it is, so you’ve got to be committed and really want it. I really deliberated for a few weeks, should I or shouldn’t I. I’m glad I did.

When it arrives you will wonder whether it was worth it, its small. But when its on, even at 20% volume, I promise you have never experienced bass like this before. It is punchier than a sub double its size!! You will not be disappointed with this. Our room size it 5m by 10m and seating is 4m from the speaker and the bass fills the entire space. In fact you can hear it form the rooms upstairs which are double the size of the viewing room. Phenominally powerful and full sounding sub. We have it paired with SoundBar 500, I dont think we will ever replace this system. Its the perfect all rounder

Small footprint and light, and while the power might not be comparable Bass Module 700 and Lifestyle Home Theater subs, this surprises with the life it breathes into my Smart Soundbar 300. Am absolutely happy with it for my bedroom setup. Bose sound signature as you would expect.

There is a sizeable difference between having a bass module and not having one. Glad I bought it.
