Purchased product only two months ago and clasp already broken (see attached pic). The clasps are basically just cheap thin plastic, so not too surprised it broken. Although I could lose some weight (according to my doc), I don't consider myself hefty by any means (165 lbs soaking wet).Our Jeep is not our daily driver, mainly used for scouting game and some off-roading, so strap only stressed during those occasions and not on a daily basis. If it can't handle my weight, I can't imagine it holding for anyone more substantial.Would recommend getting something more sturdy and durable than this brand.

First, these are not the items in the Amazon pics and description. Second, they’re cheaply made; one of the plastic securing pieces broke right away and they don’t stay tight on the roll bar.

I am not recommending this item. I purchased it, because it was affordable (cheap). However, I am really disappointed that one of the four grip handles was already broken. Material looks fragile and certainly seemed more deco than a true grip handle! Item looks good online, not so in reality. Kept it, too much hassle to return. Perhaps company sends me (1) one replacement handle! Men can always hope. I gave three stars as it was my choice to purchase this affordable grip handle!

I liked the product while it lasted but one broke after about 4 months, I let it slide because it was only one but recently another one broke.

After 8 months of ownership, BOTH buckles failed as I used the handle to get into my Jeep. The buckles did not fail to hold tension – they both broke causing me to slip and fall against the door sill bottom. Factor in that the Jeep is not my daily driver and is garaged (No sun damage) so the actual use on the handles is even less than 8 months.I weigh approximately 180 lbs and do not use the handle to pull myself into the jeep as I push up on the side rail and use the handle to assist.These handles are a serious safety hazard.

These things loosen when you use them and I’ve already had a clip snap (I’ve only been using for 1 day)
