We have had to use mattress pads for varying reasons for years. We now have a special needs boxer and since she sleeps on the bed with us (and has her entire life with us) we needed something that would withstand the movement of an active dog - and stay in place. These pads are WONDERFUL! At first blush you might think they are expensive but just think about this: a pack of disposable pads are about $16 and after one use - each one has to be thrown away. Disposable pads leak on the side - these NEVER DO!! We had just about given up hope. We were washing bed clothes several times a week but since getting these pads we've had NO accident where the bed clothes were affected. These pads wash up easily, dry quickly & after several washings they still maintain their shape - like new! We ordered 3 of these to make sure we have enough. They stay in place, even on a comforter surface!! If turned with length going from left to right on the mattress, It comes within 4 inches on each side and is about 1/3 (or more) in covering our queen size mattress. 2 of them pretty much cover the bed. These work beautifully and since they are guaranteed for life - we will definitely be using them from now on!UPDATE: 07-13-2018 We have now ordered 7 of these pads. They are FANTASTIC!!! They not only act as a barrier between our boxer (who sometimes is incontinent) and our mattress but 2 of the fit our queen size bed so dog nails don't puncture or otherwise damage our comforters/quilts/bed spreads. Again - you may think they are expensive but we have found them well worth the money. We have had some of these in excess of a year and they are washed AT LEAST once a week and still maintain their shape, their usefulness, absorbency, and none of them have been punctured or otherwise damaged even with a 51 pound boxer who jumps on and off the bed frequently.

I have bought SO MANY varieties and brands of these mats over the years. These are the best (to date) that I have purchased. Here is what I noticed that were better about this brand.Hold MORE!Does not move around the bed while getting in the bed.Heavy quality.Withstand many more washes than other brand.I recommend these and will continue to purchase this brand.

I have bought several different saddle style bed pads over the past 2 years for my daughter who has been experiencing some chronic and acute medical issues. The reason for trying saddle style is that with a patient that can move about in bed a great deal and can get in and out of often causes bed protective pads to slip a great deal. It seemed that a saddle style, with tuck-in tabs would avoid that, but the other brands we tried seemed to slip and easily come untucked and did not end up working as desired or much better than just ordinary bed pads.. In some cases the tuck-able sections were too short or the quilted pad did not reach from the edge of the bed to the other side meaning you had to use other pads on top of the saddle style one which added to slippage, and the waterproof poly side tended to be very slippery too adding to the pad coming untucked, and those pads, especially after a wash, are no longer totally leak proof meaning that there needed to be additional protection under the saddle pad which added to the complication of making up the bed properly.With the Gorilla Grip Slip-Resistant pads the portion that tucks under the mattress is long enough to tuck under well and really lock the pad in place and the backing fabric does not slip or travel across the sheet that its placed over. Even after a few washings they are remaining totally leak proof even after some very large accidents. I can use them directly over the bed sheet without risk of leaking through to the bed sheet and mattress pad. The quilted pad area covers from the edge of the mattress to the other edge and because of that there is no need to have to use additional pads or disposable pads to protect the sides there are not addition pads skipping around to make the patient uncomfortable or allow leakage through areas that they are no longer covering. After getting, and using, the Gorilla Grip saddle style pads I am ordering a few more and retiring the other brands I bought previously. I wish I had found these pads to start with. It would have saved me a great deal of laundry time, cost of disposable pads for reinforcing and my daughter discomfort from bunched up pads in teh middle of the night.They wash very well and have little to no shrinkage even after drying. And work as well after several washing as they did when brand new.My advice to anyone considering a saddle style pad is to buy these first, and you won't be coming back buying others brands to find one that works the way it should and says it does or ending up with additional costs for other pads or disposables to catch the leaks that get past! They maybe a bit more costly than some other brands but they actually save money in so many other ways, as well as time and trouble, they are well worth it.

These are great mattress pads. They fit the twin size bed perfectly and the back has a good grip so they hey won’t slip around.

I had already ordered a pack of 2 in white in a larger size. They have the gripper dots on the back and work exactly as needed, staying in place (she lays directly on top of it) through the night for my little one that's potty training even with all her tossing and turning. So now with our forth child I figured this would be perfect for laying on the bed for when I want to lay down for nursing without having to worry about anything leaking onto the bed. I wanted the same thing as the white ones I already got with the gripper dots on the back. What I got did not have gripper dots. It had the flaps for tucking into place. I looked at the reviews again and only then seen the problem.With two more kids after the current one that is potty training I figured it wasnt an issue and would keep them. I may make adjustments to them later if they don't stay inplace like the white ones though. Will definitely be ordering directly from the manufacturer for this next time to be sure I get the correct product as I still do want this small size but with the gripper dots on the back.

Using for potty training. This is totally absorbent and perfect for that purpose. It stays in place nicely and washes easily (already washed it about 5 times). Totally recommend!

I love this pad, I slip on underneath the fitted mattress sheet. It is absorbent and prevents mattress damage, and helps my little one who is navigating bladder function at night time! Machine washable and doesn’t make the bed uncomfortable

He comprado 2 y muy feliz con mi compra, primero compré uno para probarlo y al ver qué absorbe super bien compré el segundo para mí hija. Estoy muy feliz y ya no me preocupo por los colchones, además es muy práctico ya que se puede mover muy fácil en caso de que decida que pueden dormir mis hijos en mi cama...

Got this for our three year old. Seems perfect - good size, easy to place on the bed, not disruptive, absorbs well and easy to wash. Very satisfied.

The media could not be loaded.  I have used a few waterproof mattresses in the past and none was absorbent enough and neither stayed in place. I always end up washing both the mattress pad and the bedcovers.The Original GORILLA GRIP Slip-Resistant Incontinence Mattress Pad (52"x 34") Cover is a little expensive compared to the other 2 waterproof mattresses I have. But the size and quality match the price, so does the fact that it is slip-resistant.I use the Mattress Pad on a twin-size bed and it almost covers a twin-size bed. The ad claims the mattress pad to absorb 8 glasses of water ( not sure how much the 8 glass of water is , the quantity may vary to glass size) hence I tried the Mattress Pad Cover with 40 0z (1.18294 litres) of water. It does hold that (40 oz) much of water and keeps the bedcovers clean and dry.Overall, I am happy with the size, quality and price of the mattress. It is a lifesaver and I use it every day for a carefree ,tension-free feeling. it is better to buy one good mattress than buying multiple cheap waterproof mattresses which won't solve the purpose.would highly recommend.
