Don’t use a sharpie as it bleeds and it looks very cheap, I hung some place less on display. If you are looking to display I would get something a bit more expensive

Great product for price
This was exactly what I was looking for. It comes with a lot of circles to add a lot of birthdays which is nice. I bought this as a gift and was originally going to paint it but the space in the letters is really small so I was worried I would ruin it. I gave it unfinished and my friend loved it. She ended up just spraying it with a clear gloss to make it shiny.
