Excellent quality
I've had a Bass bamboo hairbrush for two and a half years and had been wanting this for a long time. A few weeks ago I settled for a dirt cheap bamboo comb that was defective, so I finally broke down and knew I had to get this. Why did I wait so long? The comb is of a wonderful quality, very solid with a semi-gloss finish. The teeth are VERY wide, and the only possible issue could be a little roughness at the narrowest point of the spaces between the teeth. If that is a problem, a craft tool called a bead reamer could do the job to smooth rough spaces. This comb seems to have a finish though. It is meant for use in wet or dry hair; I think I will mostly use it wet. It didn't snag my coarse & long hair while wet, but I will need something with finer teeth/bristles to really smooth everything out. My hair is currently a medium thickness, and I have concluded this is a good bet for people with crazy thick hair. People with very fine, thin hair may find the comb to be cumbersome. So it's not quite an all-purpose comb for me but I love it and it's made to last!Bamboo and other natural materials, along with horn and bone, are so much healthier for hair. They distribute natural oils and reduce static, plus make it easier to break up tangles. I will never settle for plastic again.

Great comb
I love this comb! I saw previous reviews that their combs came and snagged their hair. My comb is completely smooth and does not snag my hair. I have mid length hair and this comb goes through it smoothly

Old one was good quality. Replacement, not so much.
Update (2018): I lost my other comb, which I loved and used often. The last one never splintered (even after 2 years of use), and had nice pointed ends. I just received this one... I got a splinter in my finger within an hour and the ends are all flat and square shaped. It snagged on my fine hair, and doesn't feel as nice on the scalp. Definitely not happy, at all! We'll see if the replacement from perhaps another seller will be better... hopefully it's not the new style of all Bass combs...Good product (2016): Nice size for my hand, produces less static/tears than many soft bristle or plastic brushes/combs. I mostly use this on my wet hair, and it is helpful in avoiding stressing my hair while wet. I have fine straight hair, medium length. The comb I received was all around smooth, no rough or split edges. Bass Brushes are definitely my favorite over all other products I've tried.

Loved the first bought a second one.
This is my second purchase of this comb. My partner loved it for use on his long thick beard. I find it is a fantastic detailing comb. Most importantly for this purchase, it is non plastic.

Teeth splinter
Iโve had this comb for years and it finally broke so I purchased a new one to replace it. Unfortunately the new one is splintering on the edges of the teeth and itโs impossible to comb my hair because it catches my and pulls hair out. It is almost as if the wood was not sealed. Iโve tried filing the splintered edges but it has not helped.

I wish...
I wish someone would make a wood comb with rounded curves (not v shapes) between the comb threads. That v tends to pull your hair if your not careful. Especially when wet, your hair can pull between those v shaped spaces.

*Environment Friendly* No-pull, Detangling Comb
This is a GREAT no-pull, detangling comb that's also a no-plastic option for those that care about fracking wastewater which is RADIOACTIVE & must be dumped SOMEWHERE as well as our plastic "trash" problem that animals & sea life encounter every single day that kills them. Every piece of plastic manufactured STILL exists somewhere. We must FORCE oil/plastic manufacturers to be more responsible using OUR dollar.
