Fell apart almost immediately and the teeth of the comb had to be sanded as they were kinda sharp.

Pakka Wood Bali-Comb butterly knife
The comb-butterfly knife fell apart right away. My son played with it the first day for a little while and it just fell apart.

You get what you pay for: which means not much.
OK, the first thing you have to consider is that this butterfly "comb" trainer is less than $10. You get what you pay for. Quality butterfly knives and trainers cost over $100. So you're getting a very very cheap knock-off. 99% of the cheapness of this butteryfly is in the construction and lack of quality control. Some examples of the poor quality:- barely finished steel or under-polished steel - my comb is rough to the touch, the edges are squared and sharp enough to catch on things- complete lack of tolerances - the teeth of the comb were cut out to various depths, no two are the same, some are a bit crooked- complete lack of tolerances - the blade sits low between the two handles (not centered) and hits one handle when closed, upon inspection you can see that they used two washers on one side of the blade and only one on the opposite side - also the blade is bent, causing the handle strike- complete lack of tolerances - the divots in the handles do not line up with the stop pins in the blade causing one handle not to be able to close enough to use the lock- complete lack of tolerances - the handle lock should swing freely, mine takes a good push to move and is likely due to over tight screws, incorrectly toleranced/dimensioned stand-offs between the handles- torx headed screws are damaged and partially stripped (6 out of 17)Despite those quality control issues, mine flips OK. It is a little stiff, but mine is new and will wear in. If you were an enterprising person, you could take this trainer apart and fix most of the issues with a file and some elbow grease. But you shouldn't have to do that.Frankly, if you're buying this as a gag gift: have at it. If you're spending $10 to appease a youngster, sure go for it, but don't expect it to last long. It will be a disappointment for the youngster. If you're looking for a butterfly trainer to learn how to flip with, skip this trainer and move on up into the $40+ category. You won't find a decent trainer for less.Compared to other butterfly knives and trainers in this price range, this one isn't a complete pile of crap. Most of them are a LOT worse, which is why this one gets two stars instead of one.
