I learned in my career in the Navy, “ take care of your gear and your gear will take care of you.” This was hammered into us hard during land warfare training and for good reason. Ultimately your life depends on your gear and on your ability to repair it. Sure you can make something that will work, however, doubtful on it outlasting the Ripspool. Your choice, I’ll pay $32 for a tool that is bombproof, my gear and I are worth it. Heck. It even helps me sleep well at night…

This is very clever and very well made, as are all of the items that I have purchased from this company. They are not inexpensive, but worth it for the heirloom quality.

Throw it in you back pack of first aid kit. I’ve started fires, fixed puffer jackets and stopped tent rips. Re stocked the gaffa tape from another roll.

It does it’s job and got stuck with my dad made the tape and fire tinder in the paracord and it’s done well to make fire and make repair on pants or bags or any other items

Holds the stuff I need it to.

It’s small and extremely well built, should last a few life times. I don’t ever expect to use it but you never know.

The construction itself is pretty good but the rope cant hold to the body properly just don't take the plastic wrap of the cord If you don't use IT but still pretty cool

This is such good quality I can see why everyone gives them high reviews, bit expensive but it is worth it so basically it's a sewing needle inside a case and that case has loads of duct tape wrapped around it and there is thread on the bottom of it

Purchased this item for inclusion in an EDC kit. It includes about 1.3 metres of 50 mm wide cloth tape, and a sewing needle and suitably strong thread, all contained in a compact storage unit. It is great for the intended use. Would make an excellent hiking or camping accessory. Highly recommended.

バックパッキングなど長期間の旅をする際には是非とも持っておきたいグッズです。バックパックの破れなど急な補修には十分な内容です。テープが無くなったらどう補充するか考えておく必要がありそうです。あと、小さな釣り針が入れられるとありますが5ミリくらいの穴なので入るのは渓流針とサルカン、小さなオモリくらいです。
