Decent Performance, Fair Price
Considering the Magic Carpet Pro is such a great slider, I was hoping the benefits would carry down to the cheaper models. While the build is great and looks good, the performance is only fine. There are two issues with this slider. First, it's too loose. There is a tension knob on the bottom of the carriage. I tightened that as far as it can go and it slides around on its own a lot. My issue with that is when it comes to panning shots plus sliding motion, the drag on my head makes for an unsteady slide. The other issues is that when sliding slowly, there's small bumps along the way. It's not perfectly smooth and makes the shot a little bumpy. Overall it's fine. I've experienced better which is likely one of the reasons I'm not entirely impressed.

Seems Like a Great Slider
UpdatedThe listing does not mention that the end caps and shuttle arrive separately in a separate box and for me it was even two days later. By then I had already ordered the Magic Carpet Pro and will send this one back. Although the Magic Carpet seemed really nice (after all of the parts arrived), the PRO is nothing short of amazing. The flywheel beneath the shuttle, and build, and the quality is definitely worth the price difference. I like buying gear that is future proof and I see myself keeping the Pro for the next 10 years.Original ReviewAs another reviewer mentioned, this is just a track extension nothing you can do with this without the end caps and shuttle.

Didn't send every piece! DO NOT BUY!
It's literally in the title of the product, END CAPS AND CARRIAGE! I purchased this slider setup and when it came the only item in the box was the rail. Its completely useless without the end caps and carriage!I'm losing money by pushing back production on a project because I was counting on having this slider in time for the project. DO NOT BUY THIS!This is what I get for not buying a Rhino or some other product.

Easy to setup and deploy in the wild. Robust build, replaceable parts. What is not to like?
