i found a crack in one of gravers but it wasnt near the tip which is good the wood is not all polishes and nice looking in the pics THEY DO WORK GREAT THOUGH

Works good! According to my friend that wanted these, he said that they work as he thought and will take sometime to get the technique down but is practicing alot.

Broke the tip off of 2 of them using on silver

Very cheap tools. Cheap as in quality not price. I had to spray each tool with wd40 and scrub rust off each one. These are not worth more than 5 dollars for this set. I honestly feel a price of 3.99 would be about right for the quality of this product. Very thin and brittle metal. Afraid to even use on anything of value. I would recommend staying away from these unless you have zero options.

Steel of gravers apparently brittle although relatively soft, one chipped during use; gravers do not hold edge and can be used for one to two long cuts before needing to be sharpened. Difficult to sharpen even w/proper tools. Difficult to hold tool(s)due to shape/position of wood "handle."Could not be used to engrave hard steel in any case; difficult to engrave hard brass, works fairly well on soft brass or standard hardness aluminum; aircraft grade aluminum is comparable to working hard brass. Best use is for simple, straight lines; curved cuts nearly impossible to make w/these gravers as they tend to gouge rather than cut. Would not use for work intended to be presented as "finished."Overall, not what was expected or described. The only pro is cost, very cheap by comparison.WOULD NOT recommend unless you're use is nothing more than to get a "feel" for engraving.WOULD NOT purchase again.
