Steam account required for game activation and installation Review: second review - first rejected - I was really upset the day I purchased this. I used some cursing and may have named and disparaged the third party that you actually have to set up an account with to download this software. It turns out both are unacceptable to desertcart. The first review I've ever had rejected. I've calmed down now, but I still think I should let my fellow desertcart shoppers know my experience. I was aware this was non-returnable and non-refundable, so a little nervous, but I've bought software on desertcart before. I haven't bought a game and didn't realize there would be a different process. I also didn't and still don't see that this game is an add-on pack to another game. I'm not a big gamer, so there is probably a buzz word I missed. Does "collection" mean something I don't understand? So I purchased it and got an email from desertcart with a code and instructions to go to this third partly site (very nice people I'm sure) and sign in or create an account with them, put in the code and download my game. So I created the account and put in the code and it gives me an error message saying this is an add-on pack and my computer doesn't have the pre-requisite game. It doesn't say what that required game is. I'm also wondering how they know what is on my computer. I'm feeling betrayed. Non-refundable and non-returnable going around and around in my head. I go back and read the product description. I don't see how I could have known any of this in advance. So seeing no other recourse, I blasted out a nasty review. Sorry. I mean really. I'm sorry to have given up on desertcart that quickly. I've always been treated pretty well. Have never been stuck with a product without desertcart going well beyond half way to make it right. So I decided to plead my case with humility to customer support. I started a chat session, gave them the order number, told them my sad story. I was aware of no return, no refund, but I was out a few bucks with nothing to show for it. That wasn't fair. Without hesitation, the guy says he's refunding the full amount to the card I made the purchase with. "Is there anything else I can help you with?" Nice! Another thing desertcart likes in a review is for you to say something about the product. I have had two early versions of Call of Duty many years ago. I got addicted and had to pull the plug. It's outstanding software, always on the leading edge of game technology and strategy for its time. I'm sure this one would have been the same. Probably would have got me addicted again. Review: Code to download is invalid - The code number to download the game is incorrect, I have been trying to help my son and there is no way to download the game, PLEASE HELP!! Who do I have to contact to?
