the seat can not exist without the support bar being properly attatched and that is the only essential piece im missing, the ties attach to and need support from two sides of the support bar being in a fixed location and i do not have one side of the support that is needed, so the entire weight bearing part of the chair could possibly come undone. About an hour into the building process i thought i had checked over every piece well enough but it turns out that on the chair, (where the support bar is supposed to go) i am entirely missing an internal welded nut. Where the nut is supposed to screw into, there is nothing. Unfortunately my box showed up with two sides already opened and kind of askew. Beyond that the pieces were sealed with plastic onto a sheet of paper. The paper would tear easily but plastic was hard for me to remove without another tool. Tying the rope around the frame was fine but a few of the grommets are sharp so it started to fray or take pieces off of the string so here's hoping it doesn't snap at any point. I felt as though the instructions read very poorly and steps we're in incorrect order. At several points in the building process i wished i had tried to build it intuitively because i believe it would have gotten done faster and easier that way.

After reading comments before making those purchase I was a little nervous about how difficult it would be. Here are a couple things to make it much easier. When they say the instructions are vague, I believe they’re talking about the two long support bars that hang from the eyebolt making up the swing. There is a left and there is a right but the directions don’t tell you which is which. If you try to bolt them together on the wrong side, the holes will not lineup. On one side of each bar around the bolt holes, there’s an indentation. I thought this was a flat area for the nut to tighten up against the bar. But I was wrong, the flat areas go towards each other. These indentations face each other making a gap that provides space for the hanging hardware to be sandwiched between the two poles. When it comes to hanging the swing, comments were made that you needed two people because you have to hold the swing at a 90° angle to get it onto the hook. To fix this problem, I simply hung the swing before it was complete. After I had the two long bars bolted together and the very small support bar across the back, it only weighs about 20 pounds, and can easily be lifted and hung on the hook. Then, while it’s hanging, you simply add the two extension bars and the footing peace to complete the swing. (Picture with the red indicating the pieces I put on after hanging the swing). You could even wait and put the armrest on after it’s hanging as well. Also, talking about the armrests, I overtightened the first bolt and bent the metal. (Pictured) These armrest are not as thick as the other bars. I should have known that, so be careful when tightening those bolts, don’t overdo it. With a ratchet, taking your time, it only takes about 30 to 45 minutes to put together. I’m not counting weaving the rope for the seat as part of the construction. I am going to coat it with some rust preventive paint because of other’s comments. Surface rust. You can also tell from the pictures that it would be pretty easy to add a little hardware to lower the swing if needed. This one is pretty heavy and seems to be well-built. I would have given it five stars if I didn’t have to repaint it, however, I am satisfied with this swing and don’t regret buying this one over the others I researched.

I order the Resort Blue color as shown and the color received is totally different! Also it was a little difficult to assemble. The color was more like the blue tarps!!!

Solid swing! Worth spending a little more for. Pipes are larger than I expected with a nice gray coating. Easier to put together than I expected - this 60 year old woman put it together all by myself in about an hour. It is heavy but I did it !! Cushion is a pretty burgundy color.

This piece is sturdy and I am absolutely in love with it. I can sit back and relax in the yard while watching the kiddos play. I can read a book or simply just listen to nature around me. It is HEAVY once put together so build it where you want it ( i could not move by myself) I love the color sage and the color matched the description. I do believe this is worth the money. it will not blow away or over during a storm/winter ( will update if this does happen)
