Winholt NHPL-1836-ECOC Non-Insulated Heater Proofer/Holding Cabinet

I've been using this now for 2 months. One needs to get used to the controls for a time to dial in what your looking for. That's all good. I would like at times to have a higher humidity, while maintaining a 78 + - deg F. temp...but that's not possible here in my experience. Good quality for the money, and good design - simple. If I were to require insulated at some point, I could retrofit that option into the side panels of this unit no problem. Only one little thing bothers me. While an avid home baker, I find that I do not use this unit constantly , with sometimes 3-4 days , maybe even a week with it turned off . Because of this, I wish that the inside water bin were removable, so I could - dump the remaining water, and sanitize it at the sink. Standing water left inside the unit, doesn't sit well with my ServeSafe certified sensibility.. Just that little thing, no biggy. Oh...and though they have a "contact us" page on their website...they do not answer. That's irritating when they ignore you because your legitimate question is beneath them.Recommended despite these little irritations..

This has made our workflow much easier in our church kitchen. We cook a free hot meal for 150-250 street people every Friday. It has been difficult to keep food warm after cooking, since our limited oven space doesn't allow everything to be ready at once. Just wish that the humidity control would work in the "heat" position...we set a shallow pan of water at the bottom to help keep food from drying out, but the built-in heated water basin at the bottom would be more efficient.

I order this for our bakery and it arrived on time and worked flawlessly out the box. This is our second heated proofer and is a lot more quiet than the old proofer.

perfect unit!

Dropped off a new, straight out of the box proofed. It did not work better than my malfunctioned proofed if the same brand. So disappointed. It did not get over 134 degrees in two hours of preheating.
